Can't go wrong in Little Italy. You should go for ice cream afterwards at Laboratorio Del Gelato Laboratorio Del Gelato 95 Orchard St, New York, NY (212) 343-9922 Believe me, it is well worth the splurge!!!

So I will continue to lose weight without adjusting my calorie intake? I remember on weight watchers, you had to adjust your points after losing a few pounds. But 10 pounds makes sense, thanks WildKitty

So question: I have lost 2 pounds (YAY!). I have entered the new weights into my check-in section. Does MFP automatically adjust for my new BMR rate? I mean, my goal is to consume 1200 calories a day, but now that my weight is changing - shouldn't that number change too?

I agree Kerrilucko. If you are the cook, then just cook the meals and portions that work for you. If he insists on going out to eat, then order a healthy alternative for yourself. After a couple of weeks, I bet he starts to lose weight too. You have to do this for YOURSELF. You cannot expect your husband to jump on board…

Yesterday was the worst. I figured, well you can't diet and deprive yourself, you have to let yourself splurge every once in a while. I say...WRONG! At around 4pm I went and got a Starbucks Rice Crispy Square (my favorite on the go dessert). 440 calories!!! And it left me ravished after work...That stupid square provided…

I have a very fat girl living inside my head and SHE LOVES TO EAT! -A whole Papa Johns Pizza over the course of 4 hours -A pint of Ben & Jerry's Chubby Hubby in one sitting -Entire plates of pasta (i.e 8-10 cups of penne a la vodka) -Whole boxes of Mallomars, Oreos, Chips A Hoy Cookies (washed down with whole milk) -Fried…

The office can be a very hard environment. So many temptations. People in my office are always pushing the candy on me. And I order the food for the office, so I feel the need to accommodate everyone - and so I bring in very small portions of sweets. Knowing its there...well, it takes a mountain of effort not to grab a…

Thanks everyone, you are so awesome. All of you. This site is so inspirational! I am so happy I found all of you :blushing:

Wow, 17 pounds in 7 weeks!!! You and your BF are doing so great! Congratulations to you too :flowerforyou:

OMG! I lost my first pound!! I am so excited. I guess its kind of dorky to be ranting over 1 measly pound, but whatever...it feels glorious - and I know my fellow MFPers can understand the sensation. :smooched: :drinker:    :glasses: :blushing: :flowerforyou: Today is a great day!!! HIGH FIVES…

That is the only bummer. They are costly. One tub costs like $2.75 here in NYC. But you can buy a 12 pack on Amazon for $27.00 and that brings the price down to $2.25 a tub. Sometimes I portion them out in little zip lock baggies right when I buy it. They last longer this way, and I don't binge on a whole tub at once.

I am sure some of you already know about Gerber Graduates Fruit Puffs, but if you haven't tried them yet...go out and get some immediately! They are amazing little crispy bites (about the size of cheerios) that melt in your mouth. You can eat 80 pieces for 25 calories. Or you can splurge and eat the whole tub for 150…

I agree with americanwolfdreamer about the gym. You can totally renegotiate once your contract expires. Also (and maybe this doesn't apply to all of you with central air conditioning) my apartment gets really hot in the summer. Way too hot to work out in. I like going to the YMCA where the air conditioning is included in…

TAE-BO Get Ripped Advanced Series! It is the only video workout that I have found to be comparable with gym classes. If you want to start slower, you can always try the Get Ripped Beginner tapes. I am dripping sweat when I am finished with this work out, and I love Billy Blanks. He motivates you the whole time. Sort of…

8 miles??? That is amazing! Wow, I hope I am in that kind of shape one of these days. Congratulations!

LOL! I am single, and men in Speedos, I mean, is it hot in here or is it just me  I won't be doing any high intensity crawl strokes anytime soon, but the last thing I need is a shoulder injury. I am going to take it really slow. But really great ideas. Thanks everyone. The YMCA has swim classes for intermediate…

I just joined my local YMCA because they have a small indoor pool. I am getting back into a new exercise program and I would like to incorporate some swimming. I am confident in the water (love the ocean) but my specific strokes are not technical at all (crawl is my weakness). I was taught the strokes when I was a kid, but…

You can totally do it! Thanks for sharing, it is so inspiring. :flowerforyou:

I am also concerned about the Splenda and other artificial sweetner debate. I also wish that all of the tasty diet food and recipes didn't use so much of these sweetners. Sometimes, i just go for the real sugar in my coffee. At least I know its natural and in moderation, it isn't THAT many calories.

YES!!! Let's do it girl!

Hello MFPers! My name is Alli and I just joined My Fitness Pal today. I am really excited about getting my physical life back in order. I am not overweight and my bmi is a healthy 22.4. But I feel smooshy. I am no longer strong and solid. I want to be toned and slim and go down a size or two. Mostly, I need to get moving…

I just signed up for MFP today! I have thoroughly enjoyed reading all of the posts and inspirational stories. I have about 15 pounds to lose and I love exercising too - I just come up with plenty of excuses not to do it  (see that, that is me saying all my lame excuses out loud!)
