It's the sodium in it. It helps fight off keto flu by replenishing your sodium. It's not the only way to do this but it is one of the fastest in my experience.

My husband didn't care about keto until he began to have some health issues that scared him. He came to me after recovering from a bout of intense pain and asked me to teach him the keto way. He is now feeling much better and has no plans to stop this WOE.

I don't want him to do it because of the pain it would put him in but he's in the military and he wants to get it done for his records. I am going to support him in his choice but I'm worried about it.

He is going to ask his doctor this week for the test. I told him the same thing about the tests and the look on his face almost broke my heart. Honestly, I don't think he cares about the testing. It runs in his family and he felt so much better on LCHF.

Thank you all for the input! I'll try to put the advice to good use! I've been on keto for around a week and a half, but got around to tracking it on here 5 days ago. It's just a mental battle for me, remembering that it isn't all about the scale.

I know this may sound strange, but try drinking a little pickle juice. When I was going through keto flu, I drank some straight from the jar (I was desperate, you can use a glass :D ) and the symptoms started subsiding within 15 or 20 minutes.

An edit to my previous post: I've been going 500+mg over my goal, not 300. I did a lot of math to figure out the numbers and typed some of them wrong lol

I think I actually found my problem. I went back through my food diary and found (obviously the dairy) but I also found that I was drinking a lot of water. I've been on and off keto for about a year and since February 20th, I've made the commitment to it 100%. I'm still working on making sure I get the proper amounts of everything, but my PCOS symptoms have reduced, especially the lower belly bloating. I'm hoping I can reverse some of them entirely in the long run!
