Going all the way down to 200lbs or maybe even 189lbs (that would represent a healthy BMI for me). Will reassess at 200lbs.

I don't run (yet) but on my walk this morning I noticed a guy walking through the parking lot with a pronounced limp. He walked down to the trail and turned left, I went right. I walked for about a minute before deciding to walk back to my car and unload my wallet and keys. Heading back towards my car on the trail I saw…

Here's the thing: MFP only works as well as you let it. If you give it accurate data, it can give better estimations of weight loss expectation. If you skew the data in any way, you playing with the effectiveness of MFP as a tool. The veggie's you mentioned are not very high in calories, but they have calcium, potassium,…

I hold mine in all the time. I have to really think about it to let it go. Wonder if that will ever go away.

I find it helps me to remember the next time I have a scheduled date to have my bloodwork done (I go every 2 months). I just think to myself that this one little thing, whatever it may be, will screw up my numbers and then all the work I've done will be diminished. That helps me. I've been following Dr. Esselstyn's version…

Welcome!

I agree. I would add if you are a bit compulsive, like me, you may want to get re-tested after 2 or 3 months instead. It may not change much, but at least you'll have an idea of what direction you are going in and if there is actually a problem.

Completely works, it's how I lost all my weight. Just wanted to leave that up there for a second to see if anybody would bite. I've never used them, but if Dr. Oz is peddling them, they don't work.

The scale is an inanimate tool. It can only tell you how much you weigh at any particular moment in time. It cannot tell that you've been exercising or eating right. It doesn't know that you weigh 4lbs less in the morning, or if you are bloated. It has no idea how much your sanity may hinge upon its reading. My point? Do…

I'm always surprised at how much support is offered in general. I didn't really notice the male/female thing. I did notice a big uptick in support at >100lbs lost.

honestly I don't snack much at all anymore. I eat two really big meals that leave me stuffed. The only part of the day I spend hungry is the time right before my lunch or right before my dinner. I usually save enough calories to have dessert of some kind after dinner too.

Super simple one here: Black beans, brown rice, tomatoes and green onions. One of my favorites.
