Who was in Saving Private Ryan with Giovanni Ribisi

If it's a co-worker, I'll typically ask another female if so and so is pregnant. I assume that a woman would share the news with other women before they would share with a man. Is that sexist? Perhaps. Is it true? Absolutely. I'm not asking because I'm being nosey- I'm asking because I want to share in the woman's joy. I…

Crystal Pepsi! I was working at Pizza Hut back then, and since it was owned by Pepsi at that time, we had it before it was released to the general public. We were all really excited to try it, only to find that it tasted like window cleaner :noway: Anyway, the "food" I miss that is seems to be no longer available is the…

Coffee. Don't worry, I drink it black and unsweetened!

Cauliflower, cooked spinach, olives

Pardon my ignorance, but what is PB2? I would assume peanut butter, but I want to make sure. Thanks!

I work in a high school and use the weight room there. I often see the kids using what I consider to be incorrect form, but since I am not their coach, I typically mind my own business unless I think they are going to get hurt. Occasionally one of them will ask me a question and I'm happy to help, but my situation is…

""Unwanted Boob" I'm not familiar with that phrase. Are you sure such a thing exists?

Obviously too much of anything can be bad, but since you absolutely need fat in your diet, you can do a lot worse than olive oil. Around 70% of the fat is monounsaturated, the best kind, and it also has Omega 3 & 6 fatty acids. Does it mean you should drink it out of the bottle? Of course not, but using a little to saute…

This! Black coffee is the way to go. Don't buy the crappy stuff and you'll find that it tastes really good and has virtually no calories, never mind carbs or fat. I never put cream in mine, but I used to load it up with sugar, and then switched to the fake stuff. I gradually started putting in less and less until finally I…

I alternate between the Pure Protein bars and shakes after weightlifting sessions. The shakes are really tasty and have less calories and more protein than the bars, but they are more expensive, so I save those for days when I have less calories to spare. If I have a few more calories in my daily budget I'll go for the…

Great job! And wearing the same shirt in all the pictures rally gives a good idea of how far you've come. I should find some old pictures of the bigger me and try to take pictures in the same clothes. Keep up the good work and thanks for the inspiration.

Very inspiring- nice job!

I found a friend a chocolate dinosaur for his 40th birthday. Funny, yet delicious!

Read this: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/368670-it-s-not-rocket-surgery-people?page=1#posts-5014055 And then search for one of the hundreds if not thousands of articles about eating your exercise calories. The short answer- yes, you need to eat more. Others can explain it better than I can. Good luck!

Well said!

Go ahead and eat them. Just leave your entire estate to MFP, just in case

I prefer Boca to Morningstar Farms in almost all cases. I guess it's just a personal preference. Have you compared the labels side by side to see which ingredients are different? Perhaps you have an allergy or sensitivity you are not aware of.

I'm interested to see the answers as well. I've tried reading up on it, but most sources seem to be aimed at serious, hardcore runners. I plan to run my first 5K in the fall, so I'm nowhere near that category yet.

I usually say "I've already enjoys several lifetimes' worth of desserts!"

A lot of my success is because I have several friends who are also using MFP to lose weight and improve their lifestyle. These are people I've known for years, so our relationship is strong enough to withstand some nagging or teasing of one person falls off the wagon temporarily, but we also encourage each other and watch…

I take vitamin D and iron supplements on the advice of my doctor, plus I take fish oil and a multivitamin. I'm taking one of those joint supplements just until the bottle is empty because my wife bought it for herself and didn't want to take them any more. The iron really helps because I was iron deficient and thus felt…

We don't use portion plates, but my wife put away all of our big dinner plates so now we only use small ones. I also only use kids bowls for cereal, ice cream, etc. so I don't overdo it.

Thanks, that is very helpful information!

And yet the sun still rose this morning... Going over on occasion is perfectly fine, perhaps even beneficial as someone already mentioned. As long as it doesn't become a habit, you'll be OK. This is a lifestyle change, not a prison sentence.

Also keep in mind that weight is not the only measurement that indicates progress. I have been stuck on a weight plateau for about 3 weeks now, but I have lost an inch from my neck and a half inch from my waist in that time, so I know that the hard work and sweat are paying off! I'd love to think that I am gaining massive…

Great job! Not only did I run a full 5K without stopping (a first for me!) I also went to the town pool with my family and did not wear a shirt while swimming. I don't think I made any heads turn, but I was not embarrassed either. Still a long way to go, but we all need these small achievements along our journey to better…

I love cereal too, so when I want some, I use the little bowls that we still have from when the kids were younger. It only holds about a cup, so it's easier to maintain portion control. Of course it's still up to me to eat only one bowl, but compared to the one bowl I used to eat, it's a big step!

I know it's silly, but I took my phone camping just so I could log in and keep the streak alive. The reception was too spotty to try to enter food, but it worked. I'm at around 80 days and counting.

That happened to me the other night. I was out with 3 friends, two others of whom are also MFP members. The fourth was eating substantially more than we were, so we said something. (Remember this was a group of friends!) Right then and there he pulled out his phone and joined! We were all the other person at one point- the…
