To much or not enough?

I am currently doing the slimfast 3-2-1 plan. I am only having 1200 calories a day and i am exercising at curves for 30 to 45 minutes and walking an hour. Is this enough? Should I be eating more? I need to lose 150 lbs and i am 5'6. current weight is 280 lbs.

You need to eat more, ideally 1500-1700 depending on the intensity/burn.
PS - Slimfast may not be the best choice, some items have more sugar than a candy bar.0 -

And then search for one of the hundreds if not thousands of articles about eating your exercise calories. The short answer- yes, you need to eat more. Others can explain it better than I can.

I'm fairly certain that at your height and weight you would be offered more calories on MFP. For a short term boost I guess it's o.k. What does MFP recommend you eat in a day?
I tried the Slimfast plan to start with and I just couldn't do it. I ended up throwing a teary, snotty tantrum in the end one evening and had a binge. NOT a good start. I decided to just eat normal food up to 1200 (which is my recommended but I'm under 5ft). Normal food = way better for my moods and headaches and (ahem) toilet habits which I found to be a bit..slow..on Slimfast.
As a short term fix to boost weightloss it's probably fine but at your height and weight you could probably get in some lovely regular meals in your day, still be under cals and still lose.
