And... Eye opening moment... I had leftover pasta for lunch Sunday... OMG! 1 cup of pasta I would have marked as 500 calories before... After weighing it 1000 calories?! Holy hades!! I'm never going to eat Olive Garden ever again if that 1 little cup of homemade pasta was 1000 I can only imagine olive garden sized meals…

What I order depends on where I am at. Ginger Asia I get Ma-La chicken with a Christmas roll and crunchy spicy salmon roll. China Star I get Singapore style chow fun and hot n sour soup Eastwind I get Mandarin Chicken and spring roll. Iron Chef I get the sushi sample platter And Lee Garden is a new discovery... I can't…

Ooh that looks yummy.

I'm hoping one day of feast won't kill a whole week of conservation to where I gain weight... However, I am holding myself accountable for every morsel I eat and as such will log the glorious monstrosity that will be my Thanksgiving dinner

Starting weight 309 current goal 290 final goal 160 :) Oct 24:304.6 Oct 31:300.6 Nov 07: 299.6 Nov 14: 297.2 Nov 21: 298.2 Nov 28: Dec 05: Dec 12: Dec 19: Bad week... Gained a pound. But on the bright side... I bought a food scale and am going to be much more accurate I my diary so here's to a better week

Ok... Now I have a question... When I tried to enter my oatmeal packet by weight I couldn't find an entry that didn't list as "1 pouch" only. I couldn't find or change it to show by grams and of course the weight listed on the pouch was less than the weight that the oatmeal had on the scale. Grrr so for 43g listed weight…

I'm not one who really drinks calories yes I do have creamer in my coffee but I've realized over the last three days was starting to weigh by milliliters that I am not even drinking the 60 calories that I had been logging in my diary. after my first cup of coffee I switch to either herbal or green tea sweetened with stevia…

Well today is my first day using a scale. I ve purposely mirrored a previous day's breakfast and lunch to see how bad my presumed overestimate was actually underestimated. So... So far it's not as bad as I was expecting. My breakfast that I estimated was 122 calories more than the breakfast I weighed (and I even used more…

I agree. Eating tediously is better for eating less food and feeling contented.

What people see: tall, fat, clumsy Otherwise : loyal, honest, empathic

Yes I know what sister sizes are. But the cut of the bra determines if I go 40I or 42H. Balconettes I go 40I but plunges or French quarters I go with the 42H (and sometimes 42I)

Yes. I watched it. I really hope that my diary isn't that incredibly under estimated as the person in the video. I can easily cut back to what I ate on the NS diet... Maybe I won't go hypoglycemic going another round. But when I get paid I'll get a scale and start weighing the portions.
-
I hope I lose some cuppage... I'm currently a 42H/40I depending on fit. Last time I dropped a band size I gained a cup size. When I was skinny I was a 38F... Guess we'll see.

I actually created a recipe for the meatloaf and though inaccurate as I see it is now... It mfp calculated the calories as I entered the ingredients to be over 500 calories per quarter inch slice. I never let myself eat more than that quarter inch slice... Eat it meticulously slow and it helps but I haven't made it in ages…

That may be but have you seen how tiny chicken tenders are? About 2 inches wide and 3 inches long and less than an inch thick... But aside from that... Now I have a question about when you don't eat at home or if you eat fast food.... Do you bring your scale with you? Or log values listed in the menu? Or what? So like my…

More dense foods... That one boneless skinless unbreaded baked chicken tenderloin is counted as 3 ounces. I usually eat 2. Mashed potatoes... I take the small spoon used for eating... Put 4 scoops on my plate and count it as a half cup.
-
6 cups of "salad" ok slight exaggeration... See below for what I actually logged 2 cups iceberg 1/4 cup carrot 1/4 cup radish 1/4 cup green onion 1/4 cup broccoli 1/4 cup cauliflower 1/4 cup celery 1/4 cup peas 1 cup tomato 1/4 cup vinegrette That's what I logged vs actually in the salad I ate. For example 1 radish was…

No I created a recipe where I counted my lettuce as 2 cups (because it filled half of my soup bowl) then my 3 carrot slices I counted as a quarter cup, cauliflower I did similarly cut off a couple small bunches after chopping probably would just cover the bottom of a measuring cup I counted that at a quarter of a cup. One…

OK... For some dinners yes I can see that being easy. 2 boneless skinless unbreaded baked chicken tenderloin weigh, entered, scale zeroed, add single medium baked red skin potato, weigh, enter, scale zeroed, add steamed broccoli spear (usually 2) weigh, add and done meal entered... But what if your meal is more of a mixed…

Yes but those cheap ones are known for been inaccurate too. I'll pay the uncharged for a guarantee and accurate scale. Now I'll just have to fit all the measuring and personalized diary entries into the 30 minutes I get to prepare and eat my food. How long does it take for you guys who do precise entries to weigh and enter…

Oh... Lightbulb moment! I get it... It's my weight currently that is why it's so high... When I changed the weight to be for maintenance then it's showing what I was expecting. Duh! But it was also so good to have this discussion as I didn't realise how grossly inaccurate proportioned servings could be. So perhaps a scale…

But yes... Maybe my Christmas present can be a pampered chef scale this year .

Right now every morsel I don't eat is one less morsel to end up on my thighs. Yes accuracy will become very necessary once I'm closer to my goal weight. But I can easily reduce the amount I eat currently I just have to be careful I don't end up hypoglycemic. If I do that one again I fear my doctor will kill me lol.

1400 not counting exercise yes if I eat more than that consistently I would gain weight. I don't count my exercise in my calories unless I eat them back. I usually try not to eat back calories used for exercise but sometimes I do... Especially if I get post exercise crash as I call it. I'm sure everyone has experienced the…

I had my thyroid checked... It was normal. Low side of normal but still within normal range. That was my first thought when I was gaining so quickly and suddenly. Yes I still have many symptoms like always being cold when I'm not exercising, hair loss, brittle nails ect. But my blood work is all normal (except GTT showing…

OK... So even with overestimating I'm still eating way more than I am allotting for. But seriously can packaged thin sliced ham really vary so much that the serving size of 4 slices could actually be the weight of 6 slices? Hmm... Interesting... Guess I should be reducing my intake alot more than I have been already but…
-
I religiously try to eat much less than that but then my doctor starts yelling at me for not eating enough. I was just wondering about long term... Am I really stuck eating 1200 to 1400 calories for the rest of my life? Should I really be limited to only 2 fist sized portions of food per day? And never really be able to…
-
Yes I know accuracy is off... That's why I overestimate every chance I get when I know I won't be accurate. Sometimes I can be very accurate like my lunch today 2 pieces of 35 calorie whole grain wheat bread 4 slices ham (the serving size listed on the package) 1 slice munster cheese (serving size listed on the bag). That…

OK... Well when I was in high school I would eat one meal per day... Dinner and consist of things like a hamburger on a bun with lettuce tomato and mayo and a single serving bag of chips. Or an 8oz bowl of chili with a tbs of sour cream and a small pinch of shredded cheddar. Or a 2 cup salad with a mix of different veggies…

What stats do you want? I'm 40 Female 6'1" currently 297 (down from 312) highest weight 319 3 years ago lowest adult weight 175 over 22 years ago. My ultimate goal is 150 but could be content with 175. Exercise varies. Minimum is 2 days a week for about an hour or so. When it doesn't get dark by 6pm I'll exercise more…
