i just had the surgery. it's rough. i went through PT and did all the stuff you did and it got worse. If pain is persistent and therapy doesn't work be prepared that the surgery is a long recovery. 4 weeks in a brace night/day then sleeping in brace for another 4 weeks. My PT said it's a slow process in beginning but once…

and as someone who's had surgeries before I know the doctors aren't always right. Been working with PT on my shoulder since March. Wanted some opinions from people who actually had it done!

I am having this exact surgery (Mumford Procedure) on 10/10. Doc said after you should feel immediate relief but be sore from surgery only. He said the biggest risk is not getting the arm moving quick enough and developing a 'frozen joint' He did say that not everyone gets 100% relief and said to follow up with your ortho…

hi there! I'm a newbie two. From NY but living in KY. I also love cats. But I've learned I can only handle one at a time LOL. Love a good murder mystery and anything forensics. Also love cooking more now because of all the crap they put in fast and restaurant food now.

I guess as long as you know good/bad things when eating you won't need to. But if you feel you're not progressing it may be a good idea to log
-
First....you will get bigger with adding weights if you're not burning fat that covers it. Second...yes you're not eating enough. Your body metabolism will actually slow to conserve energy.
-
download app on your phone so you have no excuses not to log. it really DOES help me. Sometimes I log in what I'm planning on eating and getting the heads up on whats too high in carbs or fat so I can stop the madness vs. feeling guity

I am about to undergo that same surgery. Seeing my ortho today to schedule. I can ask him ....

I tried this and it didn't work. I'll try again

THIS. you don't need special diets...switch to clean eating. and as far as kids go sometimes you just have to make them eat what you make. I stopped making 2 meals. She eats what I eat or she doesn't eat. Now if I'm making salmon which I know she really doesn't like, I will throw on a chicken breast for her or some veggie…

HCG DIET IS A CROCK OF CRAP It's starvation. 800 calories a day???? And pregnancy hormone? that hormone makes you want to eat /gain. She spent $1200 on this diet and yea she lost 28 lbs. But guess what, she didn't learn to eat properly or exercise and it all came back. That's AFTER lipo as well.

I have body dysmorphia. I was heavy as a child/teen/early 20's My parents did not help by being critical. They weren't in shape either so it was pretty confusing. Even now I always find a flaw. I've learned to just talk to my BFF about it and she's straight forward and sets me straight. My mother always had curves and…

Hi I'm Glenda and originally from NY. Ex was military so we lived in GA, VA and then KY. I've also lived in CO briefly but came back to KY. I'm looking for people to maybe get together with and start doing 5K with eventually. I'm only up to running a mile straight and then walk/run the rest. I belong to Anytime Fitness.…

I have gotten the best results by mixing weight training and running and elliptical. I also do a lot of home workouts while watching TV instead of sitting on couch. Squats, crunches, planks, etc.

Very good tip - don't deny yourself when you crave something....But don't keep it in the house. Go and buy a single serving. I am a chocoholic and when I really need a taste of chocolate I have Hershey mini special dark in the freezer. 1. IN the freezer they take longer to melt in my mouth and I eat slower 2. Dark…

welcome! Don't be depressed about how you are now....be optimistic and use that sadness as motivation. When I first started out I was a size 16 and 160 lbs (at 5'3"). I'm now a size 4 and 123 lbs and can run a mile!! Salads and starving won't do it. Your body needs fuel and EXERCISE (even walking 30 min a day) will help.…

Do you have a fridge in your room? Buy things like deli meat (not prepackaged) and use hummus instead of mayo. Also great for chips instead of dip. I like roasted red pepper hummus by sabra as a sub for mayo/mustard. Grapes, Bananas, some dark chocolate kisses for cravings, nuts, etc. Drink skim milk or flavored water (get…

Tried cutting out caffeine and it was horrible. But I'm off the diet coke and down to 1 cup of coffee a day (used to have 3 coffee and 2 diet cokes min) Now If I really need a boost for working out I used Absolute Fuel (red) b/c it gives you caffeine without yellowing your teeth and no jittery anxiety
