I love cheese and I knew cheese was going to be a problem for me going vegan. I've been dairy free for almost 3 weeks (vegan too) and trust me it gets easier. What worked for me was going out and finding good vegan cheese to substitute. The kinds made with cashews seem to be the best. Treeline is my current favorite. I…

I am newly vegan as well. I tried a few years ago but did not stick with it for various reasons, but this time it feels different. Vegucated is one of my favorite documentaries. I also watched "Got the facts on milk?" which was pretty interesting as a (former) cheese lover. It has helped me no longer want to eat cheese and…

I think the point is that it encourages you to eat more healthy foods. I'm not a paying WW customer, however, I am following the plan and it does indeed encourage me to eat more veggies and fruits --- because they don't count against my point total. Their philosophy is that you should only be eating these things until you…

If you want some added health benefits, i.e. antioxidants and cardio health, I would go with a glass or two of red wine. Just realize, drinking too much will lower your inhibitions and if you're like me...it's the snacking after/with the drinks that is more detrimental than the calories in the drinks themselves.

Go Veggie cheese is not actually vegan; just a note. Unfortunately too because my Giant Eagle sells 4 varieties of that but only one variety of vegan cheese.

I've recently started a lifting routine after sticking to mostly cardio for the last few months. I am excited for this new change and am starting to read The New Rules of Lifting For Women. Feel free to add me! I also could use more friends that lift.

My goal is to cut down on fat and build muscle.

Thanks for the feedback. Is there anywhere I can go to buy samples or better yet get them for free? Like GNC or something?
-
I buy most of my workout clothes at target. They carry champion brand. I have 3 pairs of these just above the knee yoga-type stretch pants and I love them.

Mine says 135 but that was 3 years ago right when I turned 21. I don't know if I could ever weigh that little again. I'm about 20 lbs up from that. My goal is about 140-145. Depressing....

Blink 182 was pretty epic.

I actually do have shorter term goals which aren't exactly working for this purpose, though they do help me get the minutes in. I really like the idea of giving myself a treat after the first day back after a rest day. As well as switching up the activity. Thanks for the insight! I'm going to try that next week after my…

On the weekends when I have more time at home in the morning I like 2 pieces of sprouted grain toast (has 4g protein each) w/ whipped earth balance buttery spread. On workdays, I usually eat once I get to work and I'll have some type of (lightish) frozen breakfast sandwich or oatmeal and fruit.

Literally just busted out laughing when I saw this at work.

I am obsessed with Special K Flat bread sandwiches. They are 200 calories and usually plenty to keep me satisfied until lunch. They have one with ham egg and pepperjack cheese. Yum!

I'm in for 50!

I am also starting over again. Feel free to add me. I love to help support and motivate!

Has anyone seen the pink slime that burger is made of? Because that is not supposed to be eaten. I don't care what other people eat, so I don't see why it should bother you, but you obviously have the more healthy outlook by not eating those things yourself. Getting the right balance of nutrients and avoiding artificial…

And I now realize there is a thread for introductions! Oops.

That's for all the advice. I am probably using more than I need. I have been avoiding pam as much as possible because I am eating all natural/ organic aka nothing artificial and I'm not entirely sure what is in pam.

Wow, that is like a story from a movie! That is wonderful for you!

I had no idea the pixies were from the 80s, I just assumed because they sound so 90s that they were from the 90s.

Haha I thought you were funny! Especially this comment.

I think you should try to talk to her again about it. Explain your side again -which everything you have said makes sense to me. Remind her that you were informed that she hadn't paid yet, in which case you are not liable for the full payment, just the deposit. Tell her that you are worried about losing a friend over…
