Do a search for tummy tucks on MFP. You will find some informative conversations. :) Below is a question I answered about 6 months ago on MFP.... "I'm considering this treatment (tummy tuck) for myself but was wondering what it was like to have it done from a patient's perspective. Does anyone have any before and after…

I always have two large eggs, some kind of bread, tea with milk, butter or jelly on the bread. The calories get up there but I need to eat. I just enter in the calories and go from there. I find that I need the fuel. I work out almost everyday, burning about 400 calories per day. On the day that I don't work out I have a…

You look radiant! Congrats and I love the "peeing rainbows" phrase. I totally get it. I've been there but I didn't have the words to describe it! :flowerforyou:

Hi there, I've been trying to lose about 12-18 lbs since October 2011. It has been very difficult. When I was in my 20's and 30's it was not a problem to lose 1 to 2 lbs consistently each week. It just fell off so easily. But now I am lucky if I get a 1/2 pound every once in awhile. I am 45 years old. DON'T give up, even…

congrats!!

You can do it! Don't ever give up.

We have to list our weights in our state. My goal has been to reach my DL weight! 4 lbs to go!!

Praise Him! After 2 years of secondary infertility I gave birth to triplets. God provided a miracle! I never was on bed rest, no premature labor, nothing went wrong. I gave birth to them at 35 weeks and they were all 6 lbs! I give Him glory. After they were born I had to lose 100 lbs! But that is another miracle story.....…

I'm 5'7 3/4" tall. I weigh 154.4 lbs. I'm trying to get to 150 lbs. When I was married in 1989 I weighed 145 lbs. In High School I weighed 135 lbs. Right now I wear Medium tops because I'm a 34 DD bust. On the bottom I wear some size 6 but mostly size 8. Back in 2007 I was 150 and very happy at that weight, that's why I…

I did it! I did it!! I no longer drink Diet Mt. Dew or any pop for that matter!! Today I am officially 1 week pop free! This is what I did: -kicked the artificial sweetner habit in the butt. -cut back on caffiene. I only drink green tea, black tea, and mint tea (all in my special mix). How I did it: -sent the kids to camp…

Yes it really does. My weight loss is proof. It keeps me accountable. :flowerforyou:

I passed! Felt like a dork doing it but I passed!! :blushing: I do Jazzercise 5 times a week and yoga twice a week. I think that helps me with my tush. Good luck!

Good for you!!! :flowerforyou: That is very good work. YES to moderation! Thanks.

I haven't had a chance to read through the new replies but DAY ONE went just fine!! Midol helped with the headache. I was very tired but I took a nap because all the kids are off to camp or other things. It's been a very long time since I've gone without Mt. Dew.....but I did it.

Yes, I decided to go cold turkey. I know this will be hard but I have my reasons. I have tried to kick this habit before. I have tried reducing slowly my intake of Diet Mt. Dew but it never worked. If I have it in the house....I drink it!! I can't stay away from the stuff. :grumble: So that's why I made that decision. I…

I am a mother of 5. My last 3 were triplets. I gained 100 lbs with their pregnancy. I was a mess. I had a full tummy tuck. They sewed up all my muscles and took off a ton of skin. I also had umbilical hernia. Everything look pretty awful. When the triplets were two we hired a nanny and I had the surgery. I will be…

Hello Everyone! Thank you everyone for all your ideas and encouragement!! TODAY is the first day of NO Diet Mt. Dew. I'm not so much trying to get off the caffiene, mostly my focus is eliminating artificial sweetners. Diet Mt. Dew is sweetned with Splenda. Looks like I will be cutting out yogurt sweetned with Splenda (and…

Thanks so much for your advice. I never thought of Midol but that will be my go to pain relief for the headaches. I love your idea on spending the money I normally spend on Diet Mt. Dew on a reward. I've done that with my weight loss. I get a reward every once in awhile for lbs lost. Thanks so much!!

Yes, I've heard of Kombucha. I love that stuff but it is so expensive. A little over $4.00 a bottle and I have to drive 40 mins. to the nearest place in order to buy it. I live in a small town. We don't have fizzy La Croix or Perrier here either! Thanks!

:flowerforyou: Thanks everyone! Keep the ideas coming. I will try to let everyone know what I finally decide to do. And how I am doing.

Thanks so much! I know I need to do this. My husband hasn't had a Mt. Dew in about two years and he still craves it!! He wont go near the stuff because it would be that easy to be hooked again for him. I need to do this for him too.

[/quote] aLOT OF people have this addiction. My friend had it and decided to go cold turkey... she had a migraine for two weeks, cold swears, irritability, you name it. Her body was detoxing, just like a drug addict. They say to go cold turkey but to keep consuming caffeine so that your body doen't go too crazy. Either way…

Yes! You are so correct. I need to really want to do this. Right now it is my kids that are pressuring me to "kick the habit". They know artificial sweetners are not the best for you and they want me to be healthier and I want to set a good example for them. My two youngest daughters ALWAYS want pop and I only let them…

I checked out Sparkling Ice online. It looks like it is sweetned with Splenda. Isn't that just as bad as aspartame?
-
No, the Mt. Dew doesn't make me crave other sweets. That is pretty much under control. I'm doing fine with my calorie intake as well. Rarely have bad days. Usually stick with about 1,400-1,700 calories per day. I'm 5'9" tall, 45 years old, female and weigh about 156 lbs. I exercise 5 times a week and always eat about two…
