Noooo, I did not mean it to come off that way  I just felt confused and you are making sense. I appreciate what I learned from you today, big time

Forgive my ignorance. I can get up to 130 and maybe faster, but I know i would not be doing that consistantly. I tested my comfortable rate and came up with 127 steps in a minute. I am going to keep testing this. It's more of a curiosity than anything. I know I am shrinking at a fair enough rate. I am getting faster and…

arggg, thank you for pointing this out to me. I so appreciate it. So, that equation is for 3 mph? Fortunately I don't eat all my calories back  Still going to do the other 90 minute walk today. But I will push harder. Thank you again!
-
I know your kidding, right? I have upped my speed and now am walking (best estimate I can come up with for now) close to 4.5 mph. I log it as 4 mph, because I based it on an equation I found on the net. "You need to know the length of each step. Let's assume 2' per step 132 steps * 2 feet = 264 feet 264 feet * 30…

Usually coffee, splenda & milk. Rarely a poached egg & 1/2 english muffin or sometimes a bagel w/ 0.5 Tbs light butter

5.7" and male, I was thinking the same thing

You are on your way. You'll start to get it. I thought I had an idea of what I was doing until I joined here, then I learned so much that when I look back in retrospect, I did not know squat... Now I'm doing squats  Also, one thing that's really helped me is that I am having as much fun as possible doing this. Good…

ouch, i think I burn more than that taking a shower

and fat sates the appetite for me, hence I feel full longer. Such a shame that media makes us think fat is bad to consume. And how can I eat a proper tuna sandwhich with low/fat free mayo :confounded:

Don't feel stupid. I fell for many in my past. The more I hang out here on the forums and read, the better my journey gets. I also have fun doing it  (i'm so smiley today, i'm annoying myself  )

1 Lb/wk is fantastic. I am set to 0.5/wk. I think slow and sustainable is best.

 I hear ya about the weight lifting. I was intimidated by it. My hubby has equiptment in our garage. I would watch him lift and feel "no way can I do that". He started training me (I think he has fun bossing me around  ) But I do what he says, focus, and by the end of a 1 hour 20 to 1.5 hours per session (it…

I do the step 6" I mix it throughout the day with walking, as fast as I can Not sure how fast, but when I had a cheap pedometer (when I started here on MFP) I was at 3 mph and now I feel i'm going faster. I like doing both. I also am going into my 3rd week lifting weights @ 1.5 hrs/session (I log an hour). The…

Also use a the scale  Home cooking makes it much easier for me. I've even started measuring things that before I would never think of, like black pepper or my Splenda's, but it really helps, 'cus those calories add up fast. Hey, you came to the right forum to get help. I have learned so much from these folks here…

And it's awesome! Going into 3 weeks now myself and my sleep has been much better. Sometimes I sleep less, but very well and other nights I am getting a straight 7 to 8 hours  I am loving how i'm feeling, so great advice here. Lift!

Also, (here I go again without coffee)...My hubbies a golfer too  Anyway for exercise you have listed 1500/burn for golf using a power cart. Is this a vehicle? edit: w/o "more" coffee

Edit to Say: I feel like a moron, I did not realize this has been responded too already. I thought this was just posted. How did I miss this, blah I need more coffee! I'm sure you have been helped

I just to a peek at your diary. This is just one example. You have an entry for 4 fried chicken wings. That would be a general guess. Are these weighed out, because I just ran a search (without weight of the wings, just count) and a general calorie count was, "The U.S. Department of Agriculture reports that one skin-on…

That's for sure. I was thinking about having one of hubbies muffins from Costco. I weighed it, but the serving size said 1 muffin is 5.8 oz 669 calories, nope, it was actually 6.5 oz @ 745 calories. I skipped the muffin

normally, I eat 20 -50% back. It helps to fuel my workouts.
-
That would be nice. I have to push myself to get 310 at 70 minutes and i still assume maybe 1/2 those actual calories are burned

I want to see if i can come up with some recipe to make in my dehydrator. They just sound great!

Ty, I was a bit confused on that one

I just peeked at your diary (so glad you have it open), I love the way you eat. You got many of the tastes I have in food choices. But I have to ask.... "beef habenero cherry bar" that sounds sooooo good, where did you get that? Did not want to sidetrack the topic, but I just had to know. I love savory, sweet, chewy and…

I did not see anywhere that you suggested to "drink some butter", either.

Just had this after my first workout of the day. I add some salt, but did not log the salt (I may do that). No red pepper flakes today (out of them) and only vinegar, but, Yum. Edit: no mushies today, so only tomato, but still major yummers

Oh sorry about the beef comment. I did not see that you were vegetarian. Although I'm not, I LOVE my veggies, and if I had extra for food (aside from beef and chedder), Cauliflower darn that's pricy right now. I can make soooo much with that and I adore it. Mushrooms, broccoli and yumm yumm asparagus. All the awesome pricy…
