It's the Home Depot triangle where all 10mm sockets disappear!

Blackberries, raspberries and strawberries are not berries but avocados and cucumbers are!

Great way to start the second half of the year @Scott6255 I think Strava would struggle for those '1 year ago' prompts @tarun_yadavA as I was doing absolutely nothing exercise-wise then! Upped my target to 50 miles. Couldn't resist kicking off H2 2023 with a parkrun when it should have been a rest day!
-
Thanks @martaindale Plan is for 45 miles. Lower than before however this is all run rather than wun or jalk. Happy second half of the year everyone!

Right there with you, just without the hills. Currently running 12 minute miles and, with time, looking to get to sub 10.

My mother passed away 3 years ago @AlphaHowls and worked at care home for many years. Nothing medically based here though she used to tell the visitors they were sad for themselves and needed to keep smiling. She insisted the patients thoughts were generally in a happy place even if it wasn't one they recognised. Nice war…

Great insight @mrmota70 . When you said you finished your 10 year run with your previous employer I though you meant there was an annual employees race! I hope everything works out for you on that front. I was almost 300 lbs and now about 265 lbs with my weigh-in due tomorrow. My general health is "touch wood" okay, always…

How much of someone's personal security information can you get in one post!

A very small update. After a week off plan with visitors and supporting a 470km charity bike ride (I only did 70k across 3 days) kicked back in and finished C25K. To avoid the heat ran at 6:30am, at 6:50am heard the thunder, at 6:52am I was running down a river that was pretending to be the Cuckoo Trail. Totally on board…

You should have brought those cats home @AlphaHowls though don't put them on your lap! Feeling for those even hotter than my little patch. Decided to do my first 5k continuous running for 2.5 years today so went out at 6:30am to avoid the heat. At 6:50am I heard the thunder, at 6:52am I was running through a river that was…

I get you on the VO2 max @SummerSkier as mine hasn't moved in 5 weeks. After I added in swimming and cycling to the programme it hasn't budged and my garmin is saying my training is "Unproductive". Well I say I am cream crackered afterwards so it better darn well be productive. Have run 5 days with visitors, support a a…

The weekend is upon us. My Dad is coming to visit which means interrupted plans and a big tidy up! Good to know your surgery went well @katharmonic , rest well and see you back on your feet in a few weeks I hope your daughter is well on the mend @kgirlhart After my "triathalon" exercise yesterday I didn't feel like running…

Job done  Very slow, all day, sprint triathalon. A 1k swim this morning (30 mins), a 5k brisk walk at lunch (48 mins) and a 20k ride (40 mins) this evening.

Another beautiful day! I have been plodding along, both physically and metaphorically, in the background reading your posts. I was back in the office in October '20, we created a socially distanced office space and everyone was back by March '21. A little jealous of your 5k @tarun_yadavA though I will get there. I am based…

Thank you all for your help. I am plodding along both physically an metaphorically. Haven't yet found the joy of running @Jeanette_Hills , the temptation to stop is definitely more mental than physical. It is only week 8 of C25K so early doors. Weight loss has slowed @AnnPT77 , after 3 1/2 weeks for the first stone it is 7…

I am sure there is a thing that I call 'chip evaporation'. I only eat about 5 and then the bag is empty!

It's about time someone used that pen!

Always good to have your messages @quilteryoyo and I love the support you give. I may have overstated my mileage target even though it is a mix of walking and running. Having decided to sign up a swim membership I will be swimming two or three times a week and I don't get steps for that. Let's see how things work out. Our…

Many happy returns for yesterday @chris_in_cal

How do you even measure that?

Very impressed @kgirlhart

That's me done for the month. 90 miles of walking with 36.17 miles of C25K, doesn't count as running yet with all of the walking included. Hoping by the end of June I can start a 5k streak every other day. Going to start putting a limit on the walking pace as well. Anything over 17 minutes a mile I won't count as my HR…

We need to be fed and watered - we are basically houseplants with complicated emotions, so complicated we spend huge amounts of time and effort trying to understand them when it is fine to just go "I am who I am and I am absolutely fine with that". No need for explanations. We don't ask a houseplant why it starts to wilt,…

Almost half way through the year - how did that happen! I am still on C25K and my running partner is injured so we will be repeating a week or two. My target is 42 miles of C25K and running which is only 16% up from 36 miles in May. Looking for 120 miles of walking and running combined which is the same as May, just…

Thank you @martaindale

Good point @rossmack07 , my macros were out on my diet, too much fat and not enough protein. I picked up some whey protein in vanilla flavour. With milk it isn't bad. First non-stop 2 miles of running for over two years today, 2.13 in total, a little slow at 12:11.6 but not worried about the pace. A little warm out there…

Turns out a 'speed' session isn't what I though it was @Laurz9191 , I'll get the hang of these running terms eventually. Anyway of to do 'naked' running tomorrow... First non-stop 2 miles of running for over two years today, 2.13 in total, a little slow at 12:11.6 but not worried about the pace. A little warm out there…
