Totally makes me more accountable! I know I am going to have less than perfect days, and no one on here is going to judge me for that. But knowing that others can and probably do look at my diary on occassion makes me want to hit my goals even more.
-
Well thanks for being so judgmental of what works for others. Guess what? If I don't indulge on occasion, I binge. Guess what is healthier for me? Moderation. If you want to live your life never having a hamburger or an ice cream sundae ever again? That is your prerogative.

Not that I would consider what I am doing successful yet, but I think what is working for me is not putting so much pressure on myself. If I stay under my net calories for the day, it was a success, even if I did not eat as healthy as I would like. When I put too much pressure on myself then fail to live up to those…

Sounds like he is not ready for kids yet, and there is nothing wrong with that. IF he is around your age, you are still really young! My H wasn't ready to try for kids until he was 30. He should be discussing this with you though, and the fact that he has not mentioned anything but that he will not have sex with you is a…

Well, I would disagree with that LOL I enjoy my life every much. I HAVE to plan for myself right now. If I did not, I would make poor choices. That does not mean I am not spontaneous in other aspects, and I too have a "cheat meal" once a week.

The fan is a GREAT suggestion, I totally fogot about that. We have a fan in our room that I love, not just because it keeps me cool, but also because it drowns out the little odd noises. If you don't want to go the fan route, maybe look into a white noise machine. I have a hard time sleeping without my fan when we are in…

Oh, and because I am apparently a post *kitten*, one of my fav go-to meals is a veggie pasta. I always have assorted frozen veggies on hand, and I throw a bunch of different ones in a pan with some olive oil. After they have sauteed a bit, I throw in some garlic, a little Italian seasoning and a can of diced tomatoes. Mix…

Oh, and for other meal ideas, I would look into www.skinnytaste.com, all of her stuff is awesome. I am making her chili and pasta bolgnase next week.

I do plan all of my meals for the week. I also only buy the groceries that will make those meals and a few healthy snack type foods. It cuts down on me eating crap AND the grocery bill :) I usually spend some time on Friday or Saturday morning (I always shop on Saturday) and map out what I am going to make and eat for the…

Baby carrots are awesome! I have some almost every day. I also like to dip mine in a wedge of Laughing Cow Garlic & herb cheese, super yummy and hardly any cals :)
-
I think you need to spread your cals out a little more, or eat smaller meals so you can snack more in between. I eat every 2 hours so that I do not feel hungry or "empty" and get tempted to eat something I shouldn't.

LOL

Eat a sensible, healthy dinner and just go over your calories for the day. It happens sometimes, but what is important is that you get back on track now. One day being over on calories is not going to break your week!

My calorie goal is 1500, I want to lose 59 more pounds (or somewhere around there), which would put me at 155 at 5'8"

I also have a Hamilton, works great. I love 3 Bean Crock-pot Chili (found at skinnyrecipies.com), spaghetti sauce, chicken, pot roast, there is a really good Mexican casserole that I make in mine too. I LOVE it.

Ditto this. I have a very very very very hard time shutting off my mind, and my doc recommended unisom short term to help me "train" my body to fall asleep at a certain time. Another key, try and go to bed at the same time every night, even weekends, until your body gets used to it. You want your body to know that 10 =…

You could be a nutritionist, many hospitals and doctors offices (even therapists offices) employ them. My cousin is doing the same thing :)
-
Oh yes. Not a secretary, but another person in my office. Brings stuff in EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. I know she does it to be nice, but good lord. It sits out all day right next to my cube. We also have a cafeterria here that makes the best breakfast burritos, and she is perpetually offering me half of hers.

DItto.

You say it is short term, but there are very very very long term implications to altering your horomones. You could be forever f-ing up the balance of horomones in your body. Not to mention killing your metabolism when you start actually eating again. I am shcking my head that there are doctors out there that are OK with…

Oh I know, that is why I did not mention eating for two. I meant eating more as in not continuing to eat the amount of calories that you do for weight loss. THAT is unhealthy for you and the baby.
-
I just have to add: How awesome is it going to be to see ONEderland??? I am so excited for that day. Once I see that, I better never ever see a 2 at the beginning of my weight again!
-
I still weight myself as well. I usually do not lose as much (or even gain a bit) during that TOM, but the next weeks loss is usually better :) I do not want to get out of the habit of weighing myself weekly; in the past I have stopped and not started again (easy to pretend the weight isn't creeping back up that way!),
-
That is totally realisitc! You can do it :)
-
I too have found conflicting info on this. I workout in the evenings, and usually have a snack when I get home from work, then workout, then have my dinner.
-
I am currently TTC, and on of the reasons I am losing weight is to help myself get pregnant. I am scared of gaining it all back when I get prenant though, so I understand your desire to "stay on track". I think that when you get pregnant you obviously need to eat more, but just keep the good habits that you have gained…

I now am dying to get back to Napa. Best.Vacaton.Ever.

Trader Joes is the place to go for wine if you have one local. Tres Pinos - Makes a great red and a great white, $5 a bottle. Seriously yummy. This is my go-to. Freixant (sp?)- Sparkling wine, my favorite of this variety. $12ish a bottle. Trader Joes Reserve Pinot Noir - great red, $10 a bottle Pinot Noir is my fav red…

I do this as well :) I realize the if I pre-log everything, I am much more apt to stay on schedule. You know, its written in stone ;) I also like seeing the "whole picture" for the day, and knowing if I have any wiggle room anywhere.

That is one of the hardest things for me too. Once I "know" I will be over on calories, I just say screw it. I know this is wrong, and am trying to combat it. If I think I am going to go over, my plan is to know do an extra workout, and just get as close as I can for the day. That is better than going crazy all day! It is…
