  • I had skinless grilled chicken breast with a cajun rub on top of a salad with mixed lettuce, japanese style coleslaw, avocado, capsicum, cherry tomatoes and cucumber with an olive oil balsamic dressing (you can check my diary if you want to see what I put in it :) I've tried to add a picture, hopefully it shows up! I can't…
  • I started doing this a few weeks ago, then had travel commitments (both holiday and work related) xmas snuck up and I totally bailed. I am starting from the beginning again tomorrow! Saw some pictures of myself recently and was horrified, I think that's pretty good motivation to stick to it :) When I did use it, I loved…

I used to be super active doing karate and at the gym 6 days a week but I had a knee injury, had surgery a year ago and still haven't upped my game. It sounds like…

  • I'd try pairing your fruit and veges with something. Like fruit and yoghurt or veges and hummus to increase energy. Or how about a dried fruit and nut energy mix? They can be high calorie depending on how many you chow down on but great source of energy - I'd recommend measuring them out before hand. Or maybe rice/corn…
  • Noticed you're in NZ - not sure if you're in Auckland but did you see this today? https://www.grouponnz.co.nz/deals/auckland/Vibra-Train/716354644
  • You can do floor/ab/arm/leg exercises while watching TV, or try the 30 day shred, it only takes 27 minutes (including warm up and warm down). You can find the videos on YouTube and do them in the lounge after your little one is asleep. Here is the first video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1Pc-NizMgg8 In fact this channel…
  • I haven't cut out anything in particular but I have tried restraining myself when it comes to alcohol, sugar, processed food and fat. I've found that counting calories is the best way and you can pretty much eat anything (in moderation) as long as your meeting your calorie goals. Also - up the water intake! :)
  • nice one!! I've always wanted to try Krav Maga. Once I've gotten back into karate properly and achieved my black belt I'm going to sign up
  • Today I did karate for the first time since my knee injury (almost 3 years ago) and subsequent knee surgery 5 months ago! Amazing how quickly your body remembers movements! I'm so stoked :)
  • thanks guys! :) I just logged it as calisthenics, cheers!
  • Hiya! I just turned 27 on the 26th July and I am 5'3" as well :) SW: 174 CW: 165 GW: 120-130 depending on how I look/feel when I hit 130 I don't have any kids yet, married my hubby last year, we've been together for 10 years in November and planning on having kids in the next couple of years.
  • Thanks heaps! :)
  • I read it just to see what all the fuss was about. I ended up skim reading it because I found it quite boring and mindless. It annoyed me how she was always saying "jeez" and other irritating things throughout the book too. I won't be reading the next 2 in the series that's for sure! I'm sure the author is happy though -…
  • wow thanks for all the feedback everyone!! You guys are awesome  I don't think I could cut out veges completely, I think it would make me sick. Also - I have to watch my cholesterol levels anyway so I don't think this is for me. Keen to hear any other thoughts though
  • Thanks for that :) Yeah I thought that it didn't sound good for long term weight loss but just thought I'd see what everyone else thought. Cheers!
  • thanks heaps :) cool I have oats at home and that sounds like something I could eat right now!
  • I would say it's optional to eat your additional calories you earnt from exercise... If you feel like you need them (like you're extra hungry from your workout etc) then you should eat them. But if you're just eating them because you think you have to then I wouldn't... In saying that, I'm no doctor or nutritionist so I'm…
  • I have the same problem, but then I have always had crappy skin... thought mine would be gone by now as well now that I am 26 but unfortunately not :( I use proactive and it works for me. I find that at first it dries out your skin a bit too much but then your skin seems to adjust and it gets better. I also find that if I…
