  • I would love to join this challenge :)
  • It might not be the right way, but if I know I'll be exercising, I'll estimate the calories burnt and add them right away so that I can add snacks if I need to throughout the rest of the day. It only becomes problematic if I don't end up exercising!
  • Anything zucchini or that involves hummus haha.. mmmm
  • Yep! Once I "derail", it's a **** show! I used to have the mentality that if I "cheat" (e.g., have a bite of ice cream, smarties, etc), the day was ruined and I would just binge and eat crap for the rest of the day. With that frame of mind, every day was a failure. I'm not sure what's changed but I've been feeling really…
  • I wouldn't say that i'm losing weight FOR my career, BUT, I can say that I am aiming to lose weight to feel more confident with myself which will in turn affect my career in a positive way (personal confidence + self esteem = better outlook on oneself)
  • I used to weigh everything I ate... like absolutely everything but as you mentioned, it can be quite the hassle. I realized that it made meal prep and cooking such a task that I would avoid doing it all together and would buy pre-made meals. I've recently started weighing food again but strictly just the protein/meat or…
  • I am interested if you're still looking! I'm in the same boat as you are :)
  • I've just been using my scale, which has been a bit discouraging since I'm aiming for weight loss. I guess I should probably find one of those machines you speak of because if it's muscle I'm building then I'll take it, haha.
  • So far it's been okay.. I'm on day 4 I guess you could say (instead of doing cardio recovery yesterday i took the "off" day to recuperate and then did the cardio recovery today). I'm definitely feeling sore, but it's a feeling I like because it means that I pushed my body. So far I've gone down 3 lbs but I'm under the…
  • I totally rely on this website, it's great!

  • That's awesome! I sort of cheat everyday before I start the workout and watch parts of the video to see how it's going to be/make note of the halfway points, etc. I was pleasantly surprised to see the Cardio Recovery video so I'm hoping I am physically able to get out of bed in the morning and give it a shot :)

  • That's awesome! I can relate to having a difficult time getting through the workouts though.. There are a lot of the exercises that I can't do yet so I just run around and keep moving to make up for it or adapt it so I can do it without injuring myself. Thanks for the info!

  • Positive friends is always a plus! I wish you good luck on your journey! :)
  • gaining the weight back (and then some) is always hard to accept - i was 106 in the fall of 2012, 120 in the fall of 2013, 130 in march of 2014 and have now gone up to 150 as of july.. working shift work doesn't help my case but i'm hoping to turn things around! good luck!
  • i've never heard of it but it sounds good! i look forward to getting your review on it
  • i love love love eggs but i usually stick to eggwhites! eggwhite omelettes with kale, spinach, zucchini and red onion (i sometimes throw in a few niblets of corn) with hot peppers and hot sauce is my favourite! it's so filling with all it's greens and protein :) sometimes i'll add a slice of silver mills vegan bread as…
  • the journey you're on is for yourself and can only succeed if you aloo yourself to! in the beginning, i found comfort in going to the gym with a friend and still, to tho day, get anxious in entering gyms (especially cooed) but i trouble shoot and work around that. i made the decision to exercise at home (mostly to cut the…
  • lettuce with spicy hummus and a few pieces of baked turkey.. sort of like "ants on a log" except with lettuce instead of celery, hummus instead of peanut butter and turkey instead of raisins haha. I usually turn to this snack because you can have a few of them and gives you that boost of protein with a nice crunch from the…
  • This is so accurate!
  • Super tasty! I usually blend coffee, ice cubes, vega chocolate protein powder with a bit of dark chocolate almond milk (or cocoa powder) and make a frappucino for breakfast :) I do quite enjoy hot coffee with protein powder but it's been far too warm this summer to drink it as such.
  • Mmmmm, BBQ! Because of work, I BBQ probably more often than I realistically want to! The last few times I had brought some turkey breast from home and had BBQed that and used hummus on lettuce leaves for my "bread". Veggies burgers are alwayyyys delicious as well! The best "burger" combo I've tried lately has included…
