I do!! I've lost 61lbs. Just make sure you stay within your macros MOST of the time. Small differences here and there won't make a huge difference, but if you're constantly eating over then it will start to show. Enjoy a cheeseburger!

Rest is absolutely necessary for muscle recovery and over all health. There are many red flags that pop up when reading your post. You may need to seriously evaluate your mind set when it comes to fitness. Do you work out to be healthy? Are you happy with what you've accomplished? What are your goals? Walking and light…

Snacks are important to speeding up metabolism and keeping you satisfied so that you don't over eat later on. Living on one meal a day with coffee is super unhealthy (but you know that- that's why you're here!). You can either do 3 meals and 3 snacks or 6 similarly sized meals throughout the day (say 6- 250 calorie mini…

Thanks for the great response! You can never have too many fitness pals! I'm excited to get to know each of you.

Logging food accurately is really important. You can be eating a low number of calories, but if sugar intake and sodium are high, they can be contributing to not losing. For myself, I don't eat back calories I burn. So, if my goal is to eat 1300, and I burn 400, I still only eat 1300, not 1700. This helps me a great deal,…

Thanks everyone for the feedback! I appreciated everyone's input. I have no interest in wearing something all day, and I know that HRM aren't 100% accurate. Purchasing one would simply give me a faster way of calculating about how many calories I burned and would also allow me to see where my heart rate falls during…

I do cardio workouts (currently using sites like Fitness Blender) and strength training with both body weight and 10lb weights

Hi! I just joined this group, and I'm excited to start the challenges! :D

I think your journey is incredible, and your ability to try and connect with others and bring understanding speaks volumes of your character. I hope weight loss brings you the happiness you so deeply deserve. I got one thing out of this story that I truly didn't expect: the realization that in order to reach my goals, I…

Hi Everyone! Thank you for your responses. I fully plan on listening to my doctor. More than anything, I just want tips and advice on how to stay focused and not gain weight back or lose all the progress I have made so far. I have two young children, and I would never jeopardize my health over something as silly as 4-6…

I would love to be friends! I am always looking for more positive energy and motivation. :) I started my journey, before MFP, at 280lbs. I joined MFP at 216lbs. Current weight 209. My goal weight is 150. I might be happier at a heavier weight like 165, but I don't know because I honestly can't remember even being 199.…

Wonderful job! It is progress like yours that keeps me motivated!

I don't know guys... I know some pretty scary chickens.

There are many things that could be going on, but there are only TWO things that are for certain - you should NOT quit trying to get healthy, but you SHOULD quit doing activities you hate. There are so many things you can do to get fit that are FUN. Find what you enjoy, and maybe it won't be so maddening when the scale…

I'm not sure if it's been suggested but maybe in social situations where there is an abundance of food, you can place a few of the MUST have items on a small plate/ napkin. Make sure than when you make your plate you make a deal with yourself to eat NO MORE than that (it always helps me to mentally estimate how many…

Hi Bill! Welcome to MFP! There are a great group of people here :) I'm willing to help answer any questions I can... ask away!

Keep up the Good work!! Your success is inspiring!
-
Awesome job!! 35lbs is a great achievement! What kind of workouts do they have you doing?
-
Proper warm up is a good point - thanks for the link! I expect it to hurt! Just touching my legs or bending to pee hurts, haha so I imagine rubbing a ball/pvc pipe/ roller isn't going to be pleasant. I can handle the pain as long as it pays off! :)
-
How? :) Do you roll the ball directly over the tender spots? And for how long? What I have read has said 5-30 seconds but that seems vague..

Hi! Congrats on your loss so far. Finding activities you truly enjoy makes weight loss so much easier. I have 57 more pounds to lose. I have lost 73 so far. I have tons of healthy and delicious recipes if you run out of ideas :) Good luck on your journey. Keep up the great work!

I had no weight training at all when I started, and my arms were little weaklings - I liked this video http://www.fitsugar.com/10-Minute-Arm-Workout-Video-22959099 mainly because it was quick and simple. A good starting point for me. This 6 week workout is pretty good…

Have you looked into Unilateral Resistance Circuits? If you still have one good leg, strengthening it has tons of benefits for both legs! I injured my knee and can't do squats for that reason, but one legged squats are still an option and after getting my good leg strong, my bad knee will be able to heal better/faster. If…

I love boxing! Give it a shot! Any fitness you enjoy is worth it :)

Hi! I started this losing in Sept. 2012, but I didn't serious about getting healthy until June. In total I have lost 70lbs and I still have 60 to go. For me the hardest part has been feeling alone in the journey (this website is awesome for support and motivation - I say the more friends the merrier!). Feeling like you`'re…

Good for you! I like that attitude! I have lost 70 lbs so far (still 60 to go). You can do this!!!
