Looking for motivational friends
Hi Everyone! I'm Trish. I will be 30 this month. I have lost 58 lbs, and I still have 60 to go. I had originally lost 80lbs, but I hit a huge rut and gained a lot back. I am back in the game and going stronger than ever. I'm in it to win it, and I'm looking for encouraging friends to both support and be supported by. I am…

Heart Rate Monitor
I'm interested in buying a heart rate monitor, but I'm lost among all the options. I want something that isn't bulky, shows calories burned and heart rate, and won't get in my way or fall off during a workout. Does anyone have a suggestion for a good monitor that also won't break the bank? Thanks in advance!

Food Goals - Question about protein
When logging foods, the bottom has a space to show you how much you have remaining for calories, fat, sugar, etc. Is there any reason going over your protein goal would be a bad thing?

alcohol abuse
I know that this is maybe inappropriate for this site, but I'm looking for experience/advice. My mother is dying and an alcoholic. I don't know how to handle her (she lives almost 2000 miles away). She is randomly aggressive and mean but at the same time suffering from health issues that make me worry and feel sympathetic.…

Broken Tummy Box
Hi Everyone! I'm looking for experience/advice here. I had my gallbladder removed Monday night. I'm home now, but my doctor has advised me not to lift anything heavier than a milk jug for 4-6 weeks. WHAT?!?!?! I know... that's what I'm thinking, too. How am I supposed to stay on track to losing weight and gaining muscle…

Sagging Skin
Is sagging skin unavoidable with a large amount of weight loss? I'm worried the saggy skin monster is inevitable. I'm mostly worried about my upper arms and chin. I keep thinking positive- healthy with extra skin is WAY better than unhealthy with none....buuuut... Any suggestions/experience?

Foam rolling or maybe not
I am new to strength training, or any consecutive exercise at all (previous lazy monster and chronic excuse maker), so I am experiencing quite a lot of muscle aches after weights and leg workouts. I can handle the pain, but I don't want it to prevent me from giving my all at the next session. I have heard/read quite a bit…

I have the will - need to find the way.
This is my first day using MFP, but certainly not my first time attempt to lose weight. I have tried all sorts of ways to get thinner (healthy and not so much), but this time is different. I no longer want to be thin. I will be 30 in Feburary, and I want to be strong. I want to wake up with energy. I want to be free of all…
