Hi Everyone!
I'm looking for experience/advice here. I had my gallbladder removed Monday night. I'm home now, but my doctor has advised me not to lift anything heavier than a milk jug for 4-6 weeks. WHAT?!?!?! I know... that's what I'm thinking, too. How am I supposed to stay on track to losing weight and gaining muscle with nearly 2 months working against me? Any advice on how to stay on course and not lose my progress?

Please follow your doctor's advise! You don't want to injure yourself. My son had gallbladder surgery in December. He didn't follow his doctor's advise and had to have a hernia operation last week. Now he is paying attention and won't lift anything for 4-6 weeks. He agreed it wasn't worth it!0

Sorry - it's not what you want to hear - but you need to listen to the doctor.
Give your body a chance to recover - then pick up the training again as soon as you have the all clear!0 -
Hi,
I just want you to remember that you do not have to exercise to loose the weight. You can still loose with a deficit. Just continue to eat well. I have lost without exercising. Your doctor has done this a million times and he has also seen when people don't follow his advice. When you have recovered you can go hard on your toning, cardio etc., You got this!0 -

Thank you for your responses. I fully plan on listening to my doctor. More than anything, I just want tips and advice on how to stay focused and not gain weight back or lose all the progress I have made so far. I have two young children, and I would never jeopardize my health over something as silly as 4-6 weeks without weight training.0 -
