Sagging Skin

Is sagging skin unavoidable with a large amount of weight loss? I'm worried the saggy skin monster is inevitable. I'm mostly worried about my upper arms and chin.
I keep thinking positive- healthy with extra skin is WAY better than unhealthy with none....buuuut...
Any suggestions/experience?

They typically say when you lose over 100 lbs, saggy skin is inevitable. But weight training can help tighten skin. It does take time so be patient.1

My neck and arms are my concern also. To try to minimize the problem, I drink at least 12 glasses of water a day, I started aerobic excercises the day I started dieting and three months in I started weight lifting 3X a week. I had a fat chin to begin with and my neck was one of the first places I lost weight. And actually my neck looks much better not saggy (but I still have 65 lbs to go). Weight training is what I think will make the biggest difference. I have definitely regernerated some atrophied muscles.
Also, being 53, I am losing weight much slower than a younger person, and I believe that this will also help in minimizing excess skin.0 -
It may not be as much of a concern as you think. I set out to lose more than 160 pounds and since my belly used to be down to my thighs I was mentally prepared to have loose skin down to my thighs, as well as sides hanging down low and crepe-looking huge saddlebags. I'm halfway there, and even though I'm not there yet my belly fold is no larger than an inch, my sides are completely gone and smooth (apart from stretchmarks) and my saddlebags barely crease. I know loose skin will be there to stay but it won't be as much of a problem as I imagined.
Just hang in there and take it one day at a time and cross the bridge when you get there. Worrying about it now will not prevent it. You may not have much of it to begin with. Just get your body fat as low as you want it to go and only then you can start putting together an action plan if you are still unhappy with the way you look.1
