I'd get suggestions from a physical therapist. While healing from my fractured left fibula and peroneal& achilles tendonosis in my right leg, I'd picked up cycling.

Her facepalm was due the source you provided as "proof" to your argument. Livestrong isn't a respectable source. It's full of woo and misinformation.

Start with the bar for the lifts to get the form right. if the bar is too heavy, used the fixed weight bars instead, use dumbbells if that's the only option though the form will be a little off for bench at least.
-
Once again, only if you're in a calorie surplus.
-
you're quoting livestrong. it's not a good source of information. please come back when you have a peer reviewed study stating that sugar, and not excess calories comprised of any combination of the 3 macros (plus alcohol being the 4th forgotten macro), is the only thing that causes you to gain fat. ETA: Also, it's "here",…

cycleops. I was able to snag a used one from CL for half the price. I love it
-
I read one very similar to this HERE a few months ago.
-
lol no excess calories cause fat gain
-
because unless you have a medical condition, it isn't going to kill you.

I'm buying a pair of Mavics tonight from my local shop. First pair of clipless shoes. I tried on a bunch of different ones and these were the most comfortable plus they're on clearance!

they're the debil!

I like grapefruit too. It'd be a better thread if you even knew what compound they were trying to separate out. And diet pills are still crap and a short term fix. I call massive LOL on this 'documentary'

posted AFTER my initial response. Look at time stamps.

She would have specified in her OP. Plus open forum so you can not dictate what people say.

Weight loss isn't linear. you aren't going to lose every week. And if you just starting working out, your muscles are retaining so water, showing the gain on the scale
-
Good idea! Happy lifting =]

You do realize that some gyms still only have dumbbells right? The gym at my old work had dumbbells and a smith machine. OP: https://www.muscleandstrength.com/workouts/dumbbell-only-home-or-gym-fullbody-workout.html
-
No I'm not. I just know the general area the OP lives in based off of her old account and a short-lived stint (thankfully) in CT

you've been on this site for at least 2 years years between your two accounts. I feel like this is something you should have figured out by now. The Target in West Hartford/Farmington/over by that mall carries OXO scales with the pull out feature so you can see the display. The Target in Southington by the Lowes also…

she's not going to build much, if any muscle, in a deficit doing bodyweight squats.
-
OP, you need to get your form worked out (I know you started a thread yesterday or the day before about your squat form). And the 30day squat challenge would be a great place for you to start with that. and then move on to the bar

I tried the maple almond butter in the little single serving packet a few weeks ago. Made me nauseous.

http://www.travelandleisure.com/slideshows/china-grown-over-ghost-town/2 http://mashable.com/2015/06/25/abandoned-amusement-park-photos/ I don't suggest seeking into old/abandoned places since it's probably illegal (you live in NY after all) and building may no longer be structurally sound. But you could "hunt" for flora &…

Walking Roller blading Skateboarding scootering (totally a word) Stand up paddleboard wind surfing sailing base jumping bungee jumping skydiving basketball kickball soccer softball lacrosse field hockey rugby you're in NYC, I'm sure you could find outside fitness classes held in a park. I suggest meetup.com (plus the app)

You're in one of the most stable shoes on the market, a shoe you can only buy in a running store. And you have orthotics? That's a lot but I also don't know what hallux limitus is so there's that. What Saucony shoes were you in before? I hope that when you returned the first pair to the running store, you informed someone…

Haven't bothered unsync and deactivate my account here. I've been here long enough to know to not trust the mfp database, I use my Garmin where applicable and round down lifting and yoga. I don't log food so I don't about burns. Just looking at time per week. Don't care if this makes no sense to anyone else. Nor do I care…
-
I've never logged on Fitbit. And I log everything on MFP so I have a record of the activity. I don't care about the calories burned from either honestly. This duplication bothers me since I'm looking at my total hours worked out per week. @heybales, It isn't consistently doubling the exercises. And it had stopped until I…
