Add me too, Dewfus! I'm also a twin mom and I'm turning 40 in January. My goal is "140 by 40" but that means that I've got nearly 40lbs to lose by then. I've been on MFP for a long time, but have yo-yoed. I reset my ticker a few months ago, but then haven't been logging in. I need to recommit!

I did W1D1 about a week ago, and then couldn't get to W1D2 until today (thanks to travelling and weather). But... today I did my session while pushing 100lbs (twins toddlers in a stroller) through six inches of snow and slush. Woot! If that doesn't get your heart rate up, nothing will! W1D3 on Friday for me!

Oh oh! Me too! Starting tomorrow! (tried once, but about five days in I tore a ligament in my knee, so that was that!)

Put myself on the waiting list, and on the list to be notified when Calgary and Vancouver open for registration!
-
bump because I need to re-read this thread and friend some people. I've fallen off the wagon lately (and then it backed up over me). I need help!

If I want to do heavy lifting, I go to the Terwillegar Rec Centre. On Tues/Thurs morning I swim at Bonnie Doon pool. I have a great home gym as well, with an elliptical, TRX, Powerblocks, BOSU, Reebok deck, pull up bar, etc. But I can't do barbells at home! When it gets nicer I'll get back into trail running too!
-
That's exactly what I need to do. My weight hasn't changed since I took pics on Jan 1, but I feel like my body has!
-
Great work! After putting in the work to lose 35 already, the rest shouldn't be too bad! Congrats!
-
perdie, how do you put music on that jlab one? I'm using something from H2O Audio for my nano, but I'm not that crazy about it. I spent a ridiculous amount of time yesterday fiddling with the earbuds that kept falling out.

All these tips are great! Especially the toothpaste one! I also use mint gum that way... Easier to keep in my pocket for random chocolate attacks. :)

I'm always happy to make new friends! I've got about 25 to go for my first real mini-goal, and then another 20-25 til my ultimate goal. But right now I'd just be happy to lose something! I've been having a rough few weeks and am trying to restrategize! Oh, and I'm 39 and the mom of two year old twin boys!

Thanks for the reassurance, ladies! FWIW I do measure/weigh most of my food if it's not already an obvious serving size (i.e. slice of bread). I have found that to be important and illuminating! I consider myself "lightly active" with the twins, then add workouts on top of that. Fitbit and Scooby match up pretty closely…

Ah, BAMF Tameko! So glad you replied! Yes, I "cheat" but I log it all, even if it's a whole carton of Haagen Dazs (not something I do often!). I have good days and bad days like everyone, but I try to look at the overall trend. Now, let's keep in mind that I'm not always diligent about wearing my Fitbit but I am very…

I guess I wouldn't care if I was 200lbs and a size 6, but I don't think it's physically possible (I'm 5'2"). When I've gone to BF calculators, the measurements I would have to achieve to get to a preferred percentage of body fat simply aren't possible without WEIGHT loss, not just fat loss. I am eating at a deficit, and…

bump?

There are some decent pathways/trails between Callingwood and Rio Terrace, I think. Ask at the Callingwood Running Room, they'll probably have some good routes around there to suggest!
-
According to that F2F calculator, to get to my goal BF of about 22% I would be the same measurements as when I was anorexic! I'm not sure that's realistic or healthy for me... I've been getting frustrated because I haven't been losing much WEIGHT, but my BF has gone from 46-37% so I guess I'm making some progress! My real…
-
I agree! I've been getting so frustrated lately because my weight hasn't moved, but then I realized that I've lost 8 inches in the past month, so I must be doing something right! :)
-
It seems like a lot of us are stalling. After a great initial loss, I seemed to regain for the next few weeks in a row! I've been getting really frustrated, but then I realized that ramping up my lifting again is making a difference. So my WEIGHT isn't going down (grrrrr), but I'm down at least 5% body fat since we started…

I've got about 10lbs to go before I hit that, and I can't wait! Congratulations!
-
Bump so I can keep and re-read for motivation and inspiration! Thanks for putting it in perspective!
-
#superlike You are inspiring!
-
I'm in! Is there some way to print that out? Is there a PDF somewhere?
-
The scale says I'm up 3lbs from last week, which I think is unlikely. But I was sick all week, didn't work out, and didn't make the best choices. However, I probably ate at maintenance, and I'm going to chalk this week up to sodium. Back at it today!
-
Great week, everyone! I'm down 0.8, but I'll take it!
-
I'll cry with you, MommaS! Waaaaahhhhh! I'm also 5'2" and my twins just turned 2. Like some of the previous posters, I don't know that stomach will ever recover without surgery, and though my goal is 125-130 I've never really been that weight as an adult so it's very hard for me to visualize success! I've never had legs…
-
I'm not expecting anything. Big loss last week, and this week was a crappy week with TOM fast food and chocolate. Blah.
-
You're looking great, and your happiness is radiating!
-
175.4-->172.6, so -2.8? Happy to be making progress again! Of course, I'm still just losing the holiday weight, so I'll feel a lot better when I'm below 170!
-
Well, today I'm weighing in at exactly what I did a week ago, but a couple days ago I was down 1.2lbs. AF is coming this week and I've been bad with the sodium, so I'm not sure what's really accurate! But for the sake of consistency I'll record no change and see what happens next week! I normally weigh-in on Mondays, but…
