  • We all struggled with the first few weeks. It definitely gets easier. If you give it your all (some days are easier than others) and stick with the the program (three times a week) I promise that you will amaze yourself very soon and feel awesome. Good luck, I know you can do it.
  • Another vote for Allen Carr's Easyway (though i did the 1 day course) 15 years of smoking and I stopped just like that. Further to what a few people have mentioned above, quitting smoking DOES NOT make you put on weight. (ie: cigarettes don't miraculously make you thin) What can happen is that people replace nicotine…
  • Probably single for too long as i'm happily single and selfish
  • The pic changes often, but currently I hope it shows that you can eat healthy, clean, fresh food without it being awful and still stay fit and lose weight. That food & cooking is important to me and not just fuel for our bodies and that I refuse to compromise on this. N.B. there ARE pictures of me on my profile too, lol,…
  • That bad eh? "Spoilers" as River Song would say ;-) Oh and you just got me googling aparently the first trailer will be Thursday 2nd August, around 8:00pm on BBC1
  • Love the Doctor, not to long to wait, dates a s follows. August 2012 -- Part 1 (5 episodes) probably Sat 25th August 2012 Christmas Special Early 2013 -- Part 2 (8 episodes) Though I need to watch most recent Torchwood series first which i missed. Did you see it was it any good?
  • Hi Zoey, The clearest thing is that whatever you are doing isn't working therefore you need to change it. With that in mind i've had a look through your food and exercise diary and have a few comments if you are serious about this. - 1400 calories should be fine. - Gardening is great but, gardening + wii hula or cleaning…
  • Absolutely agree with this, if you have good coffee black or with little milk there is no problem with it. In fact there have been a few benefits reported [JFGI]. It only becomes a problem when you are using it as a replacement for other fluids or loading it full of sugars. Enjoy it.
  • Oh and regarding walnuts balance out with some Macadamia's 59g mono - 1.4g poly per 100g ;-)
  • Really interesting reads, thanks for the share. Sadly the contradiction in the first few articles is all too common. For every study that says one thing there is another that says the complete opposite. We are on the edge of scientific understanding here, it's currently theory, and the truth is there is as yet no…
  • Very true. Yet it's more complicated than that. Most men I know DO treat weight as an issue, though it's not always because of what you think. Like women a lot of men like CONFIDENCE and self belief. Often women ...and i hate sweeping statements... who are overweight are also not confident. (yes I know this isn't true a…
  • Absolutely my sentiment. I must admit that as I get older I am less inclined to get up for a young woman than I once was, though the majority of times I still do, despite the selective equality I'm old fashioned. Though if I know I'm coming to a major station I often won't bother even sitting down!
  • This is right on the money. For comparison, I work from home and have set my Activity settings to sedentary but pretty much log anything longer than a 10 minute walk.
  • I second this, I am no expert either but have always found after starting a new routine or exercising muscles hard for the first time in a while (particularly if you are doing it consistently as part of a whole body programme) then I always end up weighing more than I would expect in the first few weeks. Keep at it
  • From someone with a similar 'problem', thank you all for your responses and thanks for the question ;-)
  • Apologies, Tacistock Toad is absolutely right. Remaining Calories not Net cals. Kitty also remember that sometimes we have training sessions that are a breeze and other times they are hard. This is just the nature of training.
  • First off congratulations on 35kg lost, that's truly amazing. I absolutely agree with ajbeans. I have checked your diary for the last 2 weeks and you are definitely not eating enough, you need to get to nearer 0 NET calories (including exercise calories) Initially on starting weight loss eating under (and not eating back…
  • Hi, I'm going to regret saying this, as I too don't believe in 'diets' but I also realise you have asked for advice so I'll try There is no 'best' diet, except the one that works for you, I can't give you any more 'why' than that. What works for one may not work for you. Is there a reason why you suddenly want to speed up?…
  • Just looking for the right person, not just anyone ;-)
  • I forgot Arrested Development. hilarious Why do they cancel all the best shows? grrr!
  • @Ajay The Sherlock Holmes is the new BBC one (2010) it's coming back soon and it's great Flash forward though Brief was great I LOVE TV series and don't really watch 'normal' TV anymore. I turn on the TV to watch something specific, never just 'to see what's on'. Loving: Dexter Entourage Misfits The Wire Deadwood (I came…
  • So versatile. I like to add a little black and cayenne pepper and perhaps a drop or two of olive oil then eat with sticks of carrot or warm pitta bread. Sadly it's a little calorific like that but better than many snacks.
  • Yum! That sounds delicious, thanks for sharing
  • Yes, yes and yes. Recommended thoroughly, trains your core! Though if it just for home use there are cheaper alternatives / (knock offs) eg: ztrainer, in the UK £60 rather than £130)

  • Wise words here. It seems like you have already made up your mind. Have some time to yourself to find out what YOU really want and need. Jumping immediately into another relationship is almost always a bad idea. Be honest with your boyfriend that it's not going so well and you think it's time to finish it. (it's always…
  • Amazing feeling! Now to bottle and sell it ;-)
  • Hi Melody... Welcome, everyone on here is super friendly and helpful and supportive. Feel free to add me as a friend Antony
  • I have used both Runkeeper and Nike+, both are similar in terms of performance and both seem to cut corners and underestimate my runs. Beacause of this what I end up using (though not automated is gmaps pedometer when I get home) http://www.gmap-pedometer.com/
