  • Personally, but when i run about 10k at about 55mins my app calculates i burn 1000 cals and change (without HRM). I wouldn't do this every day though! As people have said you will burn out fairly quick. If i was you i would start with something small and achievable exercise wise. Walk more, walk a bit faster, make an extra…
  • I use the weights machines also, the machines tend to target the one area that it is designed for. But the free weights involve a lot of technique and form to be quite good but you could be hitting a lot more muscle groups by lifting a bar or dum bell. I would suggest that you start with the machines to get used to the…
  • Actually i just revoked access on my fitbit site to MFP just incase it is pulling over info on the double. Will let Fitbit sync with Endomondo and let Endomondo push the step counting to MFP

I just sync'd my fitbit now for instance and it has logged me so far in the day as burning 432 calories taking 3000+ steps (just normal day walking around…

I just notice you are lifting weights and that might be your body toning up, losing inches which is another measure of weight…
  • Hey cwrig! Thanks for the reply! Exactly thinking the same, i do like the fact that my phone will automatically sync as soon as the exercise is done, but i need to sync the fitbit to it first! I think i might go take a look at the Garmin in a shop to see how big it is as it is looking like a good option for me :)
  • Also guys, if there is one near you can i reccomend you take a look at http://www.parkrun.com/ it's a FREE timed 5k run and has a great community spirit. I take part in one local to me every saturday at 9.30
  • That's great going :) My personal best is just over 24 minutes. But once you break the 30 minute barrier you will be surprised how quick you will get :) Keep it up
  • How ya gettin' on.. New enough to the app and first time actually seeing the website. 31 yr old lad from dublin. Just looking to monitor or restrict the amount of junk i inhale and hopefully maybe lose some weight along the way ! Best of luck, i added you Cheers
