What, chin only?

Yup, SE11 as well. Lambeth ftw.

Thanks man, added. When I was 20 I was 185lb of Capoeira. Now, not so much.

Nice way to say pass. Is it the tie? The lack of vanity? The chrome dome? The glasses? Go on, I can take the hit.

Not enough men on here... I was one of the first few to post, and have only found two people who were even vaguely in my region of height and weight, never mind age. Male 33yo 6'0 275lb

Why, thank you for tearing me apart so wonderfully based on one idle question, which I never expected to kick off the sh!tstorm it did. I am fortunate to have had an excellent education, and have travelled to over 40 countries (and about 23 or 24 states in the US), but the question was simple small talk. To answer, I think…

I appreciate your candour, thank you.

Berating someone is not the same as motivating them. Not for me, and I'm sure not for most people who choose to use a site called myfitnessPAL. I don't think you read my original post; at no point did I say I was looking for a trainer. I don't need someone shouting at me to get me to do exercise. So for you to say I need…

Oh, grow up.

Thank you! And well done on making such progress in such a short space of time!

Well, I'm in Kennington. But scorn, or referring to "my bull****" isn't going to win me over, neither is a "ripped" trainer going to motivate me. I'm not 12, and I have no interest in being "ripped".

Thank you - makes sense.

Hey, hey, a lot of people are getting really defensive here. Chill your boots. I was asking an honest question. I wasn't criticising US cuisine, or saying that UK cuisine was any model of health or flavour (which it certainly isn't) I've got to say, as someone who has only been on this site a few days, I'm a bit…

Didn't realise there was a competition.

Hi, I have a target of 10,000 steps a day, which I'm not hitting most days, but just getting out and doing some walking is a good start (usually around Kennington Park). I used to cycle to work, but since we changed offices a year ago the route is too dangerous for me to feel comfortable, and it's too far to walk/run every…

Yup. Kennington.

I still track at the weekend - otherwise I wouldn't know whether my average weekly intake was on track. I just don't worry about going over for two days.

I've spent more time in upstate New York and Brooklyn than Manhattan. I've also spent a lot of time in Alaska (no, seriously). I honestly can't remember the specifics of where I shopped, but I remember having to take the car and drive to find anywhere that sold fresh produce. Anywhere I've lived in the UK, there's usually…

How do I go about finding a mentor...? Not looking for anything radical, just someone to keep me on track with a gentle program over the next year or so. My background is here: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/topics/show/1375862-33yo-trying-to-make-up-for-5-years-of-office-living

Sounds as though your approach is the inverse of mine, but the same idea. I just find it easier to avoid temptations during the week if I know I can eat what I like at the weekend.
