I think we've all been there and done that! I know 2 years ago when I joined I lost almost 20lbs and had my best running times ever - now my weight is up and my times are down. I'm running my first full marathon May 2014 and need to get the weight down! Add me if you like!!

I have a pair of Ron Hill they are gloves but have a fold over protective cover (rain/snow/wind/), they are great for cold weather (I'm northern Ontario) but the outer layer can tuck under and be more suitable for milder winter runs.

I did C25K last fall - on the "rest" days do some cross training - swimming, walking, etc - when you get further along (I'm now training for a full marathon) the rest days are really important to repair and rest your muscles. You don't want to push it and hurt yourself.

I think you have to judge for yourself like most people have said. I myself don't include the burn from any activity that I do on a regular basis. So weekly/daily cleaning/laundry/cooking I never count, something like chopping wood out back(we have acreage)/snow shovelling or even window cleaning - stuff that I don't do…
