  • Ten years ago, I lost 40 lbs. using MFP. MFP was much more minimalist back then! I gained the weight back by being lazy and eating too much. My goal is to lose this excess weight and get back in shape. I could use some friends!
  • I would suggest looking into a DVD for home use. One that doesn't require a lot of equipment. Kelly Coffey-Meyer has a couple of weight training DVDs that use only two sets of dumbells.
  • Take a live class if you can. Proper form is essential. Once you have that down, you can do it on your own.

  • The two I liked best were No More Trouble Zones and Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism. Dumb names.
  • I have never belonged to a gym. There are lots of DVDs that use minimal equipment or just your bodyweight. Check out totalfitnessdvds.com or collagevideo.com for some ideas.
  • Check out Enell. It is ugly, but very effective. Many large-breasted women swear by it.
  • There are tons of inexpensive fitness DVDs that use little to no equipment. Check out totalfitnessdvd.com.

  • My wedding anniversary (22nd) is May 23rd. I would like to lose 20 lbs by then.
  • Take a look at bondiband.com. I use them to hold my hair off my face, but they do absorb sweat, too.
  • Given your size, I would suggest the Troy Lite Barbell system. It comes with the bar and weights totally 40 lbs. I also bought an extra set of 10 lb. plates for a total of 60 lbs. It's a really good starter set.
  • I am sure the therapist would love to help and would be supportive. That's why he or she chose that career. Go.
  • For under $20, I would suggest Tom Holland's Supreme 90 and see if your husband even likes following a DVD. I do. My husband doesn't. It might save you a lot of money!
  • I would like to join!
  • Other than exercising self-control, the hardest part is getting the food diary set up. I realized last time that you tend to eat the same things, so logging gets easier when you have "favorities" ready to click on. When I started logging the first time, I would sometimes eat the same thing just to make it easier to…

  • I will send you a friend request. Another local!
  • Over the past four years, I have acquired about 20 fitness DVDs, including cardio (walking, intervals, etc.), strength training (I have up to 20 lb. dumbells and a barbell with 60 lb.); and mixed strength and cardio. Right now, I am doing a rotation of Supreme 90 and Wieder X-Factor- ST. Both sets are great in their own…

  • I am re-starting today also. Four years ago, I lost a total of 40 pounds using another food diary website. I've gained back about 25 of it. I am re-committing to getting in shape and losing the weight again. I exercise at home and have done tons of research on home fitness DVDs. I also want to get back into running. Maybe…
