Cause I schvitz a lot when I work out and where I live is tropical and near the equator. And I really wish that there'd be a breeze just once in a while.
I'm tempted tho.....

OMG I so wish that I could get away with wearing one in public! I sweat like a politician hooked up to a lie detector. I'm thinking about just wearing a bandana on my head so that it covers my forehead & keeps my hair under control too. Does the job and looks a little less Jane Fonda...know what I'm sayin'?0
-
Right now I wear a baseball cap but I have to do that "wiggle the cap against the forehead to catch the sweat" thing and it's not that effective.0
-
Wear the sweat band with pride :0)0
-
Yeah. I'm thinking I'm going to have to rock it. Fark... I'm going to look so weird but I guess in the grande scheme of things it doesn't matter does it?0

I wear a Buff.

Keeps my hair in place, and my ears warm0 -
I don't know how crafty you are but I've been thinking about knitting a few of these up and then sewing in some absorbent fabric, maybe some cheap matching washcloths? I think it'll be a quick project and then I can still look "stylish" while melting like a wicked witch.

Nope! Who gives a sh1t what you wear as long as youre working out and keeping fit. Be comfortable and be safe!0 -
Just get the headband knowing that somewhere out there, there's an idiot wearing an old sock with the toes cut off as a wristband because he's too tight to spend money.
Me. :laugh:0 -
My lil sis just bought me 6 wrist band sweatbands, not so much for the sweat as to stop my Garmin from hurting my wrists. First world problems I tells ya0

When I first started running I thought my only choices were to look like a refugee from the '70s or suffer. What I didn't know was that there are hats made specifically to wick sweat away like a headband without looking like a tool.

There are also halo headbands (they also make hats & visors)

Hmmm... great idea!0 -

Tip: the more woolly ones are better (winter socks or sports socks). The thinner ones get soggy and don't dry much if you're sweating a lot so become useless very quickly.0 -
Nope who cares that's the problem with people my weight we get scared about how we look and dress when working out that we kinda lose sight of why we are working out0
-
I don't sweat much (lucky me!) so I don't wear one, but my workout outfits are usually funny. I wear old beer t-shirts or band t-shirts and I buy lots of sport clothes from H&M kids department... and I don't give a damn :laugh:0

skullie for me ….but if you want to rock a sweatband go for it...0

Check these out- http://www.bondiband.com/default.asp
I bought one at a race. You can fold them to make it smaller. They aren't bulky and there are many patterns and colors. They are made from a wicking material and work well.0 -
Take a look at bondiband.com. I use them to hold my hair off my face, but they do absorb sweat, too.0

Wearing a baseball cap is not going to help with sweat. It is only going to make it worse. You should only wear something on your head in cooler climates because the heat is the largest source of heat loss. Trapping it is only going to make things worse.0 -
they are perfectly fine if you are an extra in a olivia newton john video0

OMG just checked out the website, these things look fantastic..0 -
I don't wear them around my head like a crown, I wear bands around my head like a headband. I keep them over the top part of my forehead near my hairline.
I used to not wear bands but when I started wearing my contacts less I learned the band can help keep my glasses from bouncing around.
for the record I'm thinking of getting wristbands since my nose runs constantly whenever I workout (cardio or otherwise) and I hate having to be near a tissue box. (gross, I know).0 -
I have a bunch that I get from Bondi Bands or Sweaty Bands. I have SO much hair, that I love to be able to keep it off my face when I'm working out. I wear baseball hats too.0

I love sweaty Bands

fashionable and great at keeping sweat out of my eyes when I play softball in 90+ degree weather.0 -
Ok so why not wear sweat bands it was a 80s thing right well if u look at the clothes people wear now its all 80s so I say rock the head band and while ur at it throw in the leg warmers to if u feel like it0
-
Sweat STINGS when it gets in your eyes. At least mine does.
Somebody sells then at most of the races around here and I bought one. My wife made fun of it so I bought super girly effeminate ones and if I don't run in them I switch to them before she sees me at the end of my runs. I also have a Tough Mudder orange headband and a spartan race head band I'll wear at the gym if I'm running more than 4 miles or so as I'll break a serious sweat and it stings if you get sweat in your eyes.0 -
How about a bandana? Marginally more hip...0

Yup, buffs are much better looking than sweatbands at least!I got one and it works great at the gym. I fold it in a headband - but it's so versatile. Can be used for any activity, indoors or out.

I like the look of the Halo Headband and the prices of their products are not all that bad either!0 -

If it's all 80s why can't I find proper 80s acid washed jeans? I want my acid washed jeans, none of this stone washed crap. There's still an outline on the cement in the shape of a pair of jeans when I tried to acid wash my own jeans outside for an 80s party. They didn't come out right but the fabric was really loosened and very comfy until the pants started coming apart a few weeks later...0
