Yay. Baseball cap on my head and a sweat band on my wrist or biceps. I sweat like a beast. The buffs look cool though... might give those a shot.

Do what you will! WGAF if someone else doesn't like it? Like Nike says: "Just Do It!"

Just get the headband knowing that somewhere out there, there's an idiot wearing an old sock with the toes cut off as a wristband because he's too tight to spend money.

    Me.

    me too!! :noway:

I wear the sweatband around my hairline when I run because I sweat pretty bad but now I'm going to check out some of these sites for some trendier ideas !!
  • I always wear sweatbands. I sweat so much and if i didn't I would be wiping my brow constantly. I wear it right at my hairline not across my forehead like they did in the 80's. It can be a challenge to find ones that don't slip. I've tried lululemon and they slip even with the rubber on the back of them. So far the best I've worn is by One tooth. They aren't too wide and almost never slip and they don't have any special backing on them. Hats are too darn hot for me. After a few minutes into my workout I'm yanking that sucker off because i can't tolerate the heat.

Take a look at bondiband.com. I use them to hold my hair off my face, but they do absorb sweat, too.

These are great. I have 4. Also Lululemon has good headbands that aren't as pricey as the rest of their stuff.

  • No, I can't stand anything like that while I work out. It's almost distracting.

I wear a bandana which is totally soaked when I finish an hour's workout, so I'm loving these other possibilities! Thank you!!

    I wear a Buff.

Keeps my hair in place, and my ears warm :)

Now that's a good idea.... I already have one (somewhere) if my husband hasn't nicked it.

Yeah. I'm thinking I'm going to have to rock it. Fark... I'm going to look so weird but I guess in the grande scheme of things it doesn't matter does it?

Nope! Who gives a sh1t what you wear as long as youre working out and keeping fit. Be comfortable and be safe!

Right now I wear a baseball cap but I have to do that "wiggle the cap against the forehead to catch the sweat" thing and it's not that effective.

When I first started running I thought my only choices were to look like a refugee from the '70s or suffer. What I didn't know was that there are hats made specifically to wick sweat away like a headband without looking like a tool.

There are also halo headbands (they also make hats & visors)

    Checkin it. Ta.

I like all these ideas. I'm going to have to check some out. I want to ditch the baseball cap because it's just too hot to wear. I live in tropical north Queensland Australia and it's summer here so even heading out for a big walk with babies strapped to me at 6:30 in the morning means I'm working out in a stale steamy soup of UGH.
