It is NOT DIRT! She probably either has the same darkening in her inner thighs, or will if she keeps going like this. It's a sign of insulin resistance and can lead to diabetes if she doesn't change her lifestyle. While lots of women with PCOS have insulin resistance, it's not a sure fire sign. However if you start to…

Oh and 80g is lower, but keto is about 20g. My sweet spot is 30-40 total, sometimes more, sometimes less, but that's what's working for me.

^ what she said. Very few doctor understand lchf never mind nutritionists. They mostly give you a SAD to follow. Check out marksdailyapples or my fav, www.dietdoctor.com/lchf

Know this is old, but have you tried a low carb, high fat, moderate protein diet? I've struggled with everything before and going low carb was always hard, but now I rarely have cravings and am loosing weight faster than ever before while not being hungry. Look at www.dietdoctor.com/lchf and…

Oh and this... Long but informative... http://www.dietdoctor.com/how-to-eat-to-get-pregnant

I know this is old, but jic you're still struggling. First of all, I can't even imagine your pain and I don't even know the last time I actually ovulated so have no help on that front. But with low carb my recommend eating lots of fat (butter, cream, coconut oil, skin on chicken...) not sure if you were doing that or not.…

I don't do straight paleo, though by default it's very similar. I do a low carb, high fat, moderate protein lifestyle and love it! I've become a huge advocate for this lifestyle. I've been on it a month (5 weeks of total loosing weight) and have lost 17.2#s. On WW it took me over 3 months of struggling to get here. I've…

I've been weighing everyday since starting this a month ago and I noticed I will loose good amounts and then maintain, gain, maintain and then loose again. This can last from just a few days to so far 10 days of no loosing, but I still have a good weekly average.

Congrats on starting this journey! First of all, why are you only eating 1600 calories? I'm a 5'4" girl and even when I started at 282 and set my goal at 1.5#s loss a week with a sedentary lifestyle my calories are over 1700! So definitely relook at that. Heck I'm now 264.8 and same variable it's 1720.... Though admittedly…

Been there done that lol! I also drive a bus and work weddings.... Oh and my mom and mil are avid cake bakers! It's very hard sometimes!

http://www.dietdoctor.com/how-to-eat-to-get-pregnant according to this rather long, but informative interview, the fertility doctor recommends staying lchf during pregnancy. Says you'll gain less weight and have better milk supply too. Good luck and congrats!

Dragonwolf is the queen of low carb info lol. When I first heard about all this about 5 weeks ago I was like you. So I did a bunch of research. The site that kind of put all the pieces together for me was www.dietdoctor.com/lchf and there is a video of a lecture he gave that blew my mind! I started about a month ago and…

Normal with pcos, especially if you weigh to much or not enough. However you need to see your doc and get something to jump start it. I learned when it happened to me that it's super dangerous to go beyond 60 or 90 days without one. The lining just builds up and is linked to cancer.

Are you adding fat in? I know initially I thought I had to stay away from both and it was sooooo hard! Now I do lchf (most days keeping my total carbs between 30-40) and it's really not that hard (unless I have no food left in the house lol). Sunday I "binged" at a family reunion, but really I had a small sliver of one pie…

Here's my new one! Half a large cauliflower head (roasted and chopped), mixed with 1/2 cup sour cream and 1/4 cup heavy cream. Top with cheddar cheese, bacon, and green onions... AMAZING! Like potato skins and the bacon overpowers most the cauliflower taste.

Lol it's a no sugar(though how idk), but it fruit juices in it, no msg or anything I couldn't read. Ideally I want to make my own, but we are a little low on funds
-
Lol definitely cheese, but it still ended up with more carbs (cucumber, bell peppers, tomatoes, baby spring greens). Might have to do bacon, but it's soooo expensive right now.
-
That's what I thought! My hubby picked it up and it's good, but the label says no fats...

Are you lifting? Sound like you need more muscle if you want to be heavier with less bodyfat.
-
I'm excited even though it's not progress like y'all's. I've been lchf for 5 days and of the 10.8#s I've lost in two weeks, more than half has been since in the last couple of days! I know it's water weight, but it took me sooooo much longer on ww with a lot more cravings and hunger pains! It even looked like I was getting…

I am no expert, but I read we should stay away from black beans.

No! It's amazing! Like you I doubted what I was hearing at first as it was so opposite what I learned. I found www.dietdoctor.com/lchf and it put it all in perspective for me. Watch the video! It's long, but worth it and gives me so much fuel for when doubting Debbie's start harassing me. I started this way of eating…

What do you have your activity level set to? Did you change it? I set it to sedentary and just track activity because I don't get much activity unless it's planned exercise. Oh and I too am now doing the low carb, high fat lifestyle. Carbs are evil to us with insulin resistance, so is excess protein. So far I feel great. I…

I was afraid of that, the only thing I like out of those is nuts lol.

Bump! Was wondering the same thing!
-
Bump! some really great ideas!

I you drink a lot of water?

Welcome! I didn't find out till I was a sophomore in college so at least you were ahead of the game! They put me on met and bc and it was horrible lol stopped within a few months. I was like you though in that I didn't really have the "normal" symptoms in HS and even until a couple of years ago. It was when I gained weight…

Yup we have happy cow about 30 min away. We love getting stuff there, especially the roll butter, but it's a luxury.
