Many people look at the fat as a minimum. I always exceed my fat, some days by quite a bit, but it hasn't hindered my weight loss as long as I stay within my calories. Contrary to popular belief, fat does not make you fat.

I am fully aware of this, which is why I mentioned water weight in my post. The point was, whether it be water weigh or fat, it takes forever for me to take it back off once it's on. Some people say they lose their weight within a few days of overindulging. I never have. It's like it took me weeks to get those pounds off,…

OP I sympathize. I gain weight very easily. I'm not sure why, but I just do. My maintenance when I get to my goal will be fairly low as well as I have a sedentary job, which is why I will have to exercise if I want to eat more. I'm not a fan of exercise, never have been. But honestly, it takes one day of going over my…

Please don't compare a meth addict to someone with food issues. It's NOT the same. And this is coming from someone who has dealt with food issues, including binge eating and compulsive overeating, and who has worked in a drug treatment facility helping drug addicts recover. Trust me, it is not the same.

Blunt, but if I'm honest, it's kind of what I was thinking also.

I had one of these earlier from a local bakery here. Only mine had no sprinkles and about twice the icing, lol. It was a little bit of heaven. Sooo yummy. I've never eaten anything from that bakery before, but I will be visiting them sometime soon.

I recently found these Nature Valley Dark Chocolate granola thins. Only 80 cals for one. They taste like a chocolate coated oatmeal cookie to me. Just got them for those days that I don't have a lot of calories left but I want something sweet, and they are so yummy.

It depends on how you are setting up your goals. If you choose "guided" when setting your goals, it will automatically update for you every 10 pounds. If you use "custom" settings, you have to go in and adjust them manually yourself as it won't auto update.

You need to eat more food, not just protein. You are losing your hair because you are only eating 700 calories a day.
-
No, it's not. Good greif. Every state is different, but in most states is it illegal to leave a 10 year old alone for an hour or two during the day. Just make sure you have a way to communicate (or someone they can call) and talk to them about what to do if certain things happen. There's a chart in this article for the…

You learn to live with it. That's about all I can say.

There's nothing wrong with cheese. I eat it daily and have lost over 80 pounds. There's also nothing wrong with flour tortillas. It's all about a calorie deficit. You can eat bean burritos with cheese and flour tortillas and still lose weight. You just have to weigh and measure your foods, watch your portions, and make…

No, you put on weight because you ate at a surplus. You won't gain weight solely from an injury and not exercising, just like you won't necessarily lose weight if you are exercising if you are not eating at a deficit. You gain weight from eating excess calories. If you would have continued to eat at maintenance, even when…

Congrats to you. You look beautiful. And yes, having lost a large amount of weight myself, I have felt like this many times. You worded it perfectly. Just a couple of weeks ago I was trying on some clothes. I looked at my daughter and said it's so weird to look in the mirror...I don't even recognize myself. It's both…

OP I am the SAME way. Some months are worse than others. I actually made a post on this subject last month when I was really struggling. During the months it's really bad, I sometimes put myself in maintenance mode and allow myself more calories. And I eat what I'm craving and fit it in if I can. I don't skirt around my…

I'm just kidding by the way, lol. I just thought of this scene when I saw a guy chime in here. At least it was a nice answer he gave. :)

I actually thought about the bacon. I have some we need to use up. I have some hamburger up in the freezer though, so I was thinking a hamburger with some bacon on it later if I'm up to it. I was going to have that yesterday, but my energy was just gone by the end of the day, and I didn't feel like cooking. Ugh, I hate…

I actually would have ordered pizza but didn't have the money. I just made a frozen one we had in the freezer. It was pepperoni but thin crust so not quite as high in calories. Actually, a cheesy omelet sounds yummy. I think I may try that and a shake later. Thanks for the suggestions. :)
-
Thanks, I will try that. My protein intake has been really low for a few days so it could use a boost.
-
This sounds close to my diet yesterday, lol. I made a pizza and picked away at it all day. It was one of the only things that sounded good, and I had a Reese's egg in the evening. I was still way under my calories, but I at least managed to get in about 1300 with that. Not feeling much like pizza today though. May have to…

Your diet is probably too restrictive. There's nothing wrong with having any of these foods in moderation, and that can help keep you from binging on them later.
-
^^^This. I just fit what I want into my calories. Sorry but the words "cheat day" or "cheat meal" are one of my biggest pet peeves. And OP, if you are fitting these meals into your calories, then it's not really a cheat anyway.
-
^^^This. 1600 cals is too low. You could be eating more than that, but it sounds like you are being aggressive with your goals. I am a 5'7 woman and weigh 212 pounds, and I eat 1920 calories a day. I am still losing at that amount. You might want to adjust your settings and see how you feel. It would be better to lose at a…

You can do this, but it does take some practice. I was always one of those that said I couldn't eat just a little of some things or I would lose control. I said it for years. I used to think I was one of the worst people ever in terms of self control around food. I always cut these foods out in the past, and I always…

Me, too. I eat cheddar cheese all the time.

I eat Smuckers Natural myself. The only ingredients are peanuts and salt. That's it. And it's really yummy in my opinion. Yes, you have to stir it to mix the oil and the nuts, but usually only once.

I guess I don't understand the problem. Eggs are good for you, and you can keep hard boiled eggs refrigerated up to a week (if you peel them to get rid of the colored shells, just keep them in a bowl of water in the fridge). If you're worried about the kids seeing them since they think the bunny took them, surely you can…

As long as it satisfies your craving there's nothing wrong with it, but for many people, the only thing that will truly satisfy the craving is the actual food they're craving...not a substitute. I've never really found a lower calorie substitute that is as good as the real thing. That's why many say just eat what you want…

This. If you're having trouble with portion control start by getting a scale and weigh and measure your food. No special shakes or overly restrictive diets needed. Slim fast and body by vi are just money making scams. There are much easier and more sustainable ways to lose weight.

OP don't listen to this. Someone eating only 1200 calories should try and eat back most of their exercise calories, otherwise they will be way under net calories for the day, which is not healthy when only allowing yourself 1200 calories. However, if your calorie goal is not as low, it's not as big of a deal. My calorie…
