I seem to be getting on track. I'm having a hard time logging my food because I'm visiting my parents and running all over the place. But, I'm back down to 165.5 pounds, so that's a good sign. I'll try to track from here on out while in New Hampshire. Is this next week the one that we are striving for the perfect weight?

Val, I like your perfect week scenario. I'll try to pull it off no matter when you do it. If I can't do it on a difficult day, it won't be much easier on an easy day.

Interesting reading all your posts. I slacked so much last week that I didn't even want to log in and tell you guys any updates. I should have though. I might have tried to stop my unmotivated slump sooner. I hate that people seem to be in the same place as me, but I'm glad we can support each other through it.

Valerie, I found that if you drink more water than you can imagine having, it makes a big difference the next day. It might not make up all the weight, but it will take a part of it.

bprague, do you tend to do the same workouts every week? I noticed that when I ran every day last year, I managed to gain weight. I had great legs, but my waist and chest seemed as uncomfortable as ever. One day someone got me out on a bike ride for an hour or two and my body responded. Try doing something your body hates…

You don't need to count it, but I was so excited, I had to tell you ladies! My weight gain from yesterday wasn't permanent. I was back to 136.5 this morning. I felt like I was lying to myself so I rechecked my measurements to see if it was true. (You don't need to count all this, I just really wanted to yell it from a…

So glad to hear people's weeks are going well! I had a fantastic week and held my weight at 156.5 lbs for days. Then one cookout last night, I gained right back to 159. The worst part is, I went in ready to be really good. Water bottle at my side and I brought healthy food along. When we got there, a friend asked me to try…

I only have two things for advice. Hopefully they are decent enough to make up for the lacking third idea. 1) Just Take it in steps. When you are sitting there and the last thing you want to do is get up and workout, just focus on getting up and putting your workout clothes on. Then do whatever small thing that gets you…

I lost 1 pound, so I'm down to 138. Focusing more on calories apparently worked. :-) I did walk/run intervals for my miles. Monday - 2 miles Wednesday - 2 miles Friday - 4 miles Saturday - 2.5 miles I hope everyone enjoyed this week's challenge as much as I did!

I had an awful week when it came to eating well or working out. Luckily there was no weight loss or gain, but I really need to re-motivate. I think the run/walk/jog goal should help. I make my vow now... I will track my food every day this week. (The embarrassment of eating poorly would be too much right now. :-P)

Wow, thanks... I agree. That was hilarious.

Do we lose points when we gain weight for the week?

I was doing so well at the beginning of the week, although one day I ate soo much sodium and didn't even realize it because my chart doesn't tell me... I only figured that out because I put in my fiance's food for the night and saw his numbers. I might need to change it so my diary tells me sodium from now on. Every time I…

If I go over calories and don't feel like working out very much, I play Dance Central on the Kinect. I'm definitely sweating well before I'm done. I just make sure to play long enough for it to actually count as a decent workout. I have workout games with it, but I prefer the cardio that Dance Central provides and almost…

Added note - this only works if you are at a plateau.

I've also heard and experienced that after a certain point, increasing your caloric intake will increase your metabolism. You'll end up finally getting off the plateau and losing weight because your body doesn't feel like it is risking anything by burning more calories.

I'm at 158 pounds right now... so I lost 1 pound. (I think it's just luck because I've been up and down all week). I did no real working out... well one day I did a (to use the last person's word) hodge podge of excercizes, including upper body workouts like push ups and weights. The rest of the week I just tried to be…

Never mind! I finally found it under settings! (which is next to the logout, for anyone else who can't find it)

How do we make sure our food diary is open to public/friends?

Hi there, I'm Nicole. I'm 28 and live a busy life. I'm unmarried, but happily in a relationship. Because of the time crunch, exercise has been hard to find nowadays and I've almost stopped completely. But I like it so I don't want to give it up. My exercise of choice is running. I finished a half marathon at the beginning…

I'm all about it! I need something to motivate me to get down to 150. (I'm at 160 now.) By BMI standards, I'm at the top of the healthy range and would like to be somewhere in the middle.
