  • 1. Bread and pasta - even whole grain. 2. Alcohol - especially red wine. 3. Other caloric drinks. If I want orange juice, I will eat an orange. 4. Candy. Giving up sour candy was the hardest. 5. Cheese and crackers Of course, I don't deny myself any of the above (or anything else that is bad for me, for that matter). If I…
  • I see faster results when I cut out most breads, cheese, alcohol, and sugar. I overestimate calories in and underestimate calories burned on purpose. I eat yogurt every day and restrict to 1100 cals. Some say that's too low but it is working for me. I don't know my pace of weight loss but ever since end of January (two…
  • Count me in!! I hover between 134 and 136 and I'd like to get down to 124 to 126 by the end of April. Let's go!!
  • Glass of water Hair ties Lip balm Sleeping mask Magazines ...and other things ;0)
  • Honestly I'm not really sure either. At 134, I still have belly pooch, thigh fat, etc. and I am not happy with the way I look in a bikini. So I think I can still safely lose and get to 125. But then I want to add muscle definition, so that may bump me back up. So yeah, I have no idea.
  • 5'7 (I think) CW 134 GW 125
  • What are your food vices/ cheats? Pizza, red wine, sour gummy candy, frozen yogurt with mochi topping, and generally just going out to eat. I love Mexican, Korean, etc. -- so I try to limit to myself to once a week, and drink only water while I'm out. What do you think is holding you back from being in your TOP shape?…
  • I hover between 134 and 136 and am also aiming for 125. I work out almost every day and try to eat clean. Add me if you like!!
  • Seriously ? That is incredible. I'm on Day 3 tomorrow. Were all 15 days Level One?
  • This thread almost makes me cry with happiness for you all!! Thanks for sharing!! Now I wish I had taken a bikini pic of myself when I started.
  • Welcome!! I'm somewhat new as well, but I'll share my plan in hopes that you will find it helpful. I track my calories -- I overestimate rather than underestimate how much I take in. I track my calories burned -- I underestimate how much I burn by going with MFP numbers instead of what my heart rate monitor says. I eat…
  • Age: 28 Height: between 5'6 and 5'7 SW: Fluctuated between 147 and 150 CW: Fluctuate between 134 and 136 GW: 130, and then I'll reassess...I think my "fittest" weight is 125, but I don't want to get too skinny if that's not really true. I am of a medium build -- not at all petite. I used to wear a size 8 and now fit into a…
  • This post made me crack up. I used to hate/dread spin. But I really do feel "high" afterwards.
  • Get a heart rate monitor to track your cals. As long as you burn more cals than you consume in a day, every day, you will lose weight and become more fit. Getting your heart rate up will get your heart in better shape (cardiovascular). Good luck!! I primarily use spin, treadmill, and elliptical for my cardio as well.
  • Wow! You look incredible. I heard about this book...will have to buy!
  • Height: 5'7 Starting weight: I fluctuated between 147 in the mornings and 149-150 after dinner. Current weight: I fluctuate between 139 in the mornings and 140-141 after dinner. Goal weight: 130!!
  • I think about how euphoric I feel after I am done with a workout. I think about the healthy baby I want to have. Sometimes I just don't even THINK. Just no decision to make. I put on my workout clothes and get out the door.
  • Go with Polar. It is the best.
  • Are you lifting weights? Just cardio is not enough. Lifting weights will keep your metabolism going much longer after you have left the gym.
  • I saw the "Sweat is fat crying" one on Pinterest (and now on here) and so now every time I'm on the bike or elliptical and I'm sweating my *kitten* off I think of this quote and it makes me grin and keep going. For those who contributed "Squat, *****!" and "Eat clean, train dirty" -- thank you! These make me laugh as well…
  • It is so easy to munch on vending machine goodies at work! Even nuts can add up if you eat too many of them, so I would go easy on the trail mix as well especially if there are M&Ms in it. Whenever I feel "bored hungry" I always brew a cup of hot tea and sip it slowly. For some reason, that always quells the bored hunger.…
  • Hi! Thanks so much! I just wanted to clarify - I am not pregnant YET. We really want a baby but haven't started trying. I wanted to make sure my body was physically ready. I heard somewhere that you can't do any more exercise than how much you were regularly doing before you got pregnant. That is why I am trying to build…
  • Age: 28 Gender: Female Married? Yes Kids? Not yet! Goal weight: 130 Current weight: 144 Height: 5'6 Favorite exercise: Something fun with friends. I just signed up for a variety of gym classes. But as of now I switch between treadmill runs and elliptical. Least favorite exercise: All of it -- at least until I'm done. Then…
  • I really echo the whole "don't drink your calories" comment. I drink only water, tea, and sometimes a diet soda (I know diet sodas are horrible for you in a completely different way, but I can't resist). I switched from eating pita chips with hummus to eating baby carrots with hummus. Just as tasty! Making simple…
  • What is your speed? I find that I can watch TV shows or movies only on the elliptical. I get too dizzy because I always run, not walk, on the treadmill. If you are seeing results while rapidly walking on a treadmill, please let me know!! This actually sounds fun. :D
