One of the easiest exercises is walking. If your destination is within walking distance, DON'T drive there. It's amazing how many calories you can burn up just walking at a slow/moderate pace.

I've been listening to books on my ipod, as well as music. When I'm doing step at home I have my laptop available and catch up on TV shows I haven't had a chance to see yet. It makes the time go by pretty quickly.

I use my regular scale for logging weight on MFP, but the Wii and the scale are pretty close as far as weight goes. I like my Wii because it measures BMI too.

I'm in the northeast US, and my doctor said that in this area we don't get enough strong sun for proper vitamin D. He has me taking 2000 units in the fall/winter, and 1000 units spring/summer daily. As with any supplement -- I would check with your doctor before adding any extra vitamins to your diet.

I love my wii fit -- the boxing will give you the best workout, but bowling is one of my favorites. I always make time to do 30 minutes of free step 4 to 5 nights a week. It's great for the hips (one of my biggest problem areas).

If I'm not hungry, I don't eat. You're close to 1200, and being below that number once in a while shouldn't cause a problem. You don't want to be under target all the time though.

It is definitely healthy to have separate friends!!! Enjoy your time wiht them.....friends are a precious commodity!
