If you go once a day, you go regularly. If you go once every 2 days, you go regularly. If you go twice one day, not at all for 2 days, 3 times that day, once the day after them not at all for 3 days etc... that is not regularly. As an example: I go to church regularly, every Christmas eve.

The Christmas alphabet is unusual, because it has no 'L'

I would if I was, but I'm not, so I don't.

At 7 weeks away you are in a great place if you are up to 20 miles! (compared to me anyway) Try and appreciate that there'll be ups and downs in your mood during training and on the day and take pride in how you overcome the downs and enjoy the ups. All the best in the event and I hope you enjoy your training. (My marathon…

Weight loss is in stages, the first 90% mental, 8% diet and 2% exercise. Without the right mindset, motivation and willingness to put the effort in you cannot do the rest. People fail because they have not or do not work to maintain the right mindset.

Probably, but it would be close.

Yes.

Oh yeah, I and get ready for the exercise before I make the descion not to do it. For example, I will get dressed for the run or have my swimming stuff packed and be in the car before I let myself decide not to do it. Again sometimes it works other times it doesn't.
-
Whilst it is true, I don't think it helps much. When my motivation dips (Sometimes I find the goal of fitter/faster/slimmer/stronger is not enough to get me out the door), I sometimes find it helps by rewarding the act of exercise rather than looking at the end goal. For example, if I manage to complete a 80% of a weeks…

I know what you mean, I lose weight when I sign up to and attend weightwatchers, because I know I have to look someone in the eye when I weigh in. A personal trainer may be able to do the same, or if you can get a friend have set times where you commit to each other and train. All the best.

See a Dr. When I saw mine about this they put it down to dehydration and sure enough it disappeared when I drank more. It only ever came about when I upped my running. Everyone is different though, so you should never accept someone else's diagnosis as your own.

Just a wee note, I'm guessing that the gym's 'body monitoring system' won't be super accurate either. I don't even trust my HRM. I'd monitor my weightloss and if I'm not losing at the expected rate then I'd reduce the calories I consume. Just take all calorie expenditure with a pinch of salt.

I really enjoy the Les Mills classes. I think Body pump is excellent. As an aside, I used to be a member of Les Mills and they are the only gym to phone me up and encourage me back to the gym as I had not been for 3 months - most just take my money and leave me alone.

I participate in triathlons, but wouldn't call myself a triathlete at my level! Unfortunately when I train I tend to eat well, when I don't I comfort eat. Due to home life, I'm not training so much so the comfort eating is back :disappointed: It's a poor excuse and a pattern I need to break. Sorry to say that you…

Not strength related, but I loved it when my wife beat me in a half marathon. Actually found it quite sexy! So long as I'm not unfit it wouldn't bother me.
-
In the past I have worn my heart rate monitor to gauge the calories burned, I'm guessing that this is of no help to you - sorry. I've googled it and Body pump is in the MFP database if you want to use that?

A friend used to say the following about training: Keep it fun or it won't get done. Do whatever you enjoy.

I look forward to hearing your advice.

No advice, but there are plenty of you tube videos of glass mirrors shattering in home gyms. I always err on the side of caution.
