  • I just finished up Dragon Age 2 and loved it. I've played Fable I, II, and III. Next up, not sure... waiting for a shipment of complimentary games from Xbox (yes, I'm a lucky girl). One goal of mine is to look as good as my characters do. I can be just a toned, I know!
  • Thanks, everyone! Yes, I did try the recipe function and it was still coming out wildly different when I tried seemingly similar but very apparently very different ingredient options. It's still a healthy lunch, I know!
  • Yes it will work if you keep at it! How many sit ups do you do each day? 100? 200? Just keep going and don't forget your side muscles. I think they have creams for stretch marks.
  • Another good snack with snow peas-- Snow peas Cherry Tomatoes Baby Carrots Just enough sesame oil to lightly coat everything Sprinkle black sesame seeds over everything So good!
  • Try music! Turn it up and rock out!
  • Everyone says drink water, but I really don't like to drink water. Trader Joe's has really good non-sweetened iced tea. 0 calories, 0 everything. Try that in a glass full of ice and a slice or two of lemon and you are SET. It will have just enough natural sweet and tart, plus fill up the stomach. Do that before and after…
  • Try kale, it's quite good. If you've never tried it, your first bite you really won't know what to think. Then your second you think, wow, hmmm. By the third bite you are sold, because it has a very unique and savory flavor, but it also soaks up the flavor of whatever you are cooking. Like spinach, it doesn't take long to…
  • Thank you, everyone! What great advice and encouragement. I'm glad I posted. I will keep at this and try to be more patient. I will drink more water (in fact I immediately got up to get a glass before posting this) and I love the idea of 15 minute batches throughout the day- something easy that I can handle, but still gets…
  • Do you like chocolate as much as me? You'll find your sweet tooth is satisfied with really high quality treats, like dark chocolate (at least 72%), and so you only need a little bit. I had such a chocolate tooth and could eat two candy bars before my craving was satisfied. Now I just need to nibble on one square of really…

  • I love food!!!! Don't think of it as depriving yourself of good things to eat! You can find really delicious super healthy stuff to eat and it's a win-win. Have your goal be to find 6 or 7 really amazing dishes that you love to make and eat that also help you towards your weight loss goal. Re-train your brain to have the…
  • Good luck! I always seem to lose steam after a week or two, but this time I think it will stick. The food diary REALLY helps, I think, because it's all laid out for you. Then again, it's only been a week for me!
  • Try low sodium or salt free (if you're feeling ambitious) mini pretzels. I keep the Rold Gold pretzels at my office-- the serving size is 18 pretzels but that's a lot, just 6 or 7 and it's satisfying.
