I think I'm just not used to eating this much protein so I'm not used to feeling this full and satisfied! I was planning to weigh in on Friday and I guess I'll see then

I eat Sara Lee's 45 calorie bread, sugar free jam (only 10 cal a tbsp. and taste just like regular) PB2 for my peanut butter (only 45 calories for 2 tbsp., as opposed to regular is like 195 for 2 tbsp.)... see where I'm going with this... I just look at the calories since that's all that matters anyways when it comes to…

I do arms/shoulders Monday, legs Tuesday, and then only cardio on Wednesdays. then I do my weights again for the rest of the week except one weekend day just cardio or rest. kinda breaks up my week nicely

I've been having plain greek yogurt - chobani or dannon light and fit... and you'll find it taste bitter so I sweeten it with truvia and it tastes like a treat

very difficult to measure how many calories burned lifting. it's significantly less than cardio when its being done, but will continue to burn more calories afterward
-
when I was trying to limit myself to 800-900 calories a day, or would be actually proud of myself for only eating 750 (yes I'm aware of how unhealthy this was) I would always end up binge eating within the week. now I lift weights/cardio.. exercising every day and 'allow myself' 1600... just the fact that I'm allowing…

my biggest regret is not taking before pics

I drink green tea with truvia (or nothing) to sweeten it. I also try to keep junk food on the top shelf....when its right out of my eyesight it really seems to help so I don't grab for it.

No. There's no other way. I agree that I don't like obsessing over what I'm eating and counting, but its the only way.

I am not even necessarily concerned with myself, I'm just interested to know because it was getting discouraging hearing girls do not gain muscle weight when I've been working so hard
-
I also did a body comp test thing on bodybuilding.com and it said with my info that I will have a tendency and build to gain muscle easier (don't know if that's accurate or not but found it interesting)

maintenance, lately. trying to decide the best direction to go. I do want to cut a bit more fat, but I love lifting, but hate lifting on a deficit

a year from now, you'll wish you started today. this quote is what works for me every time I feel overwhelmed. and guess what? I committed a year ago and I have not ever been happier. still gonna keep going on it and can't wait to see my results in another year

Squat 3x10 (sometimes 4 sets, fourth set a little lighter) Deadlift 3x10 Kettleball swings (usually inbetween sets to keep my heart rate elevated) Leg extensions 3x10 Leg curls 3x10 Tri extensions 3x10 Bench 3x10 (sometimes 4 sets, fourth set a little lighter) Some shoulder lifts I don't know name for... Rows 3x10 Incline…

I've just heard/read people say before its nearly impossible for girls to gain muscle in that amount of time, and I just wanted to make sure it was at least possible, even if its not the case for me. I definitely need to watch my protein closer, its hard to get 128 g a day for me!
-
So it' definitely possible for me to have gained a few lbs of muscle over a course of 8 months even in average conditions (very consistent lifting routines and progressively lifting heavier, I could pay closer attention to my macros tho)

okay! yeah I went a couple months without the scale but then I stepped on one last week and was discouraged to find it hasn't moved BUT I feel I look better
-
It's a great idea, as long as you're doing the lifting first. Lifting weights should deplete your glycogen stores so when you start your cardio it will immediately tap into your fat stores. One of the tricks is doing it directly after so your heart rate stays elevated. I would focus on lifting heavy and maybe lift longer…

ahh thank you.... that was on my honeymoon.. so I had worked my *kitten* off up to that point! I mean, I still am working my *kitten* off, but ya know what I mean

Should I expect to lose any weight when I'm cutting more body fat, or just throw away my scale?
-
yeah, right now I'm kind of jumping around calories. Yesterday I ate 1600.. earlier this week I ate 1300 a couple days.. this morning I didn't even track because I was getting so frustrated but I know I had a lot =/. I just have to pick a number and stick with it and based on all your suggestions 1600 to start sounds like…
-
suggested method? calipers?
-
And you look really lean, ha I love eating, I'd love to eat more without having to worry about gaining any fat!
-
haha! I don't know if it affects the 1600 calories you suggested for me?!
-
nope, not all in one day. I break it up legs, shoulders, arms 3 sets of 10-12 reps typically for all of those exercise, sometimes 4 sets when I have the extra time
-
Also I have a desk job so most of my day is sedentary but I go lift/cardio on lunch and many days after work, I rarely go a day without some form of exercise.
