  • I weighed less than my pre-pregnancy weight at 4 days post partum. I'm 10lb under my pre-pregnancy and have been since about 8w. But since then my weight hasn't changed, despite changing my macros, being in a 500 cal deficit from exclusive bf'ing, exercising and weighing what I eat. So bro science, in your opinion, or not,…

  • If you're still breastfeeding, then you're not alone. I'm nursing my 5 month old, and though I've lost my pregnancy weight and weigh 10lb less than I did pre-pregnancy, I still have 10 lbs to go. But no matter what I do, those 10lbs won't budge. From what I read on the subject, this is normal and starts coming off after…

  • I've read that some mom's hold onto the last 10lbs before they wean, or don't lose at all, and it falls off in the months after weaning when the horomones re-adjust. I'm breastfeeding and holding onto 8lbs until I reach my goal weight. Give your body time to get back to normal. Don't forget to recalculate your calories!
  • You should be taking in more when breastfeeding. I let MFP and IIFYM decide what my base should be (1590 @ 5'6" and 163lbs) and then add 300cal as "exercise" for breastfeeding every day. A lot of breastfeeding sites say it burns 300-500 calories a day, and I prefer to play it safe and stay on the lower end. My baby is 4…
  • I found that when I added it as a food option, it skewed my view of what I actually ate (by minusing the calories from my food). I prefer to add it as exercise and have it taken from there so I can still see a true food intake. It doesn't mess with my exercise because I only weight train 3-4x week which doesn't have a…
  • I agree that you're not eating enough calories too. Your first month was likely a combination of water weight and lower calories, but now you'll see it slow down. Add a few snacks in between and try to meet your goal with healthy options (my version of healthy is no added sugar, high protein or high fiber or both, but find…
  • Lotions won't help, they're nothing but a very short term solution, if they work at all. Aside from where your piercing was, I don't ont see any issue with pic #2, you look great! If your belly button bothers you, consult a surgeon. It might be a small fix :)
  • I used nerd fitness for research and downloaded several apps until I found one that suited me and my check list of what I need (I use female fitness but alter it for 5x5 stronglift reps). Then when I was ready to make my way onto the free weight floor I did one personal training session to learn form and what everything…
  • For me it was trying on wedding dresses. I found a OOAK dress I adored but it is a size 10 and I am a size 14 in wedding dresses. The store altered it to fit with a corset back, but I vowed to lose the 50lbs in one year to wear it with the side seams where they should be. The day after I found my dress I stopped drinking…

  • From what I've read, "water" can be many liquids. I drink at least 4 24oz water bottles a day, with a coffee in the morning and iced teas (loose leaf, fruit infusions, green/rooibos no milk or sweetners) in between and a hot tea after dinner. At least it makes my water not so boring. I say go for it, as long as you aren't…
  • I fill four 24oz bottles the night before so they are easy to grab and go. I gave up all liquid sugar with the exception of my morning coffee and evening tea so I'm not tempted to grab the juice or pop my fiancee keeps in the fridge. When I'm bored of plain water, I make iced tea using loose leaf teas from David's Tea or…
  • I can't stand clutter, or my version of clutter anyways, so my countertop has our toaster (I'd put it away if my fiancee wouldn't notice, but even though he only uses it once a week he wouldn't understand why its away), our coffee machine, kettle and microwave. Our blender, mixer, baby bottle warmer, mini blender and…
  • You look amazing! Congratulations on how far you've come. At your young age this will work wonders on your self esteem. Thanks for being an inspiration!
  • Breakfast is usually and egg on toast, a thin cinnamon raisin bagel or cereal like Raisin Bran. Snack is often an apple with almond butter (I crave this combo, I'm so looking forward to my calorie refresh tomorrow to eat this!) Lunch is usually my worst meal of the day where as a stay at home mom always in the pantry for…
