Is there a way to account for breastfeeding on MFP as far as extra calories allotted per day?

You can add it to your diary as a food option.
Just do a search for breastfeeding and pick the one that works best.0 -
I found that when I added it as a food option, it skewed my view of what I actually ate (by minusing the calories from my food). I prefer to add it as exercise and have it taken from there so I can still see a true food intake. It doesn't mess with my exercise because I only weight train 3-4x week which doesn't have a calorie burn attached to it. I did create my own "exercise" under cardio for breastfeeding, because it was hard to find the 300 calorie burn I was looking for, there were lots of 250 and lots of 500. Play around with it and see what you prefer!0
