This was the advice given to me by the last trainer I had. Made perfect sense to me as I was lifting to maintain and strengthen muscles and cardio for the calorie burn.

I get nauseous when my blood sugar drops. Generally a sign of not having eaten enough to keep me going until the next meal/snack. Maybe try eating more frequently and not having a dramatic deficit.

+1 The veg part of my lunch salad is 100 cals alone. Then I have veg at dinner time as well. Calorie counts would be off by a couple hundred nearly every day.
