My doctor is encouraging me to do keto in order to drop a fair bit of weight . I'm not sold on it being a long term lifestyle choice but I'm willing to go low carb(15%) ish per day but my hubs is already whining about not cooking his favorite foods. He could use this just as much as he is type 2 diabetic.anyone here keto…

hopefully you have this answered by now but just in case... yes takes a day or so, you can also go up to 3 mgs fora couple days if you feel you need and then drop back to the 2.4

What is your dose? I went to 2.4 too quickly and had nasty nausea and heartburn. Doc told me to go back to 1.6 and stay there as long as it's working. The constipation could be because of a drastic change in diet? I'd be interested in what your doc had to say

Getting closer to my 60's everyday. 58 year old trapped in a 38 year old overweight body. Always happy to make new friends :) Please feel free to add me.

Hi all, Ive been gone for quite a while. Lost a bunch and gained it back :( Just trying to get back into daily logging and being accountable habits. Could always use new friends in my age group for motivation. Please feel free to add me as a friend

i started on October 3rd. There are days when I feel like its working (making me feel full) and other days when I fell like i could eat everything in the house. there has not been a time, i have felt sick (nausea). I have felt that uncomfortable over full feeling though. Cheers to your new beginning. I'm hoping this is my…

Anyway, insults notwithstanding, the drive from Calgary to Vancouver is spectacular. Banff is beautiful. The town of Banff is very touristy though and still pretty busy on the weekends. Take a drive up tunnel mountain and visit with the elks and check out the hoodoos. There are some great towns on your drive. Google map a…

<<<Tori, the brindle on the bottom. Passed away 2 Christmas's ago. Onyx on the top, invading Tori's space as she always did from the moment I brought her home. Still looking for another pitty to be her cuddle buddy and playmate.

Started there myself and that is also my goal weight. I've been at this a lot longer than a year but don't really care as long as the scale continues on a downward trend and I get healthier. this change is for the rest of my life so I'm still eating all my favorite foods (just less) and moving more. You can add me if you…

But, But.... today is Wednesday and I've already had breakfast AND lunch!

Resurrecting this thread as I just made it for the first time last night. SOOO much fluff I ended up with an extra container full. Used my ninja blender, worked great just a pain in the *kitten* to clean. Anyone have some new tried and true recipes?

Of course its possible! I'm down 66 lbs during and post menopause. Eat at a deficit to lose the weight and get in some activity that you enjoy. You can do this!
-
56 here, feel free to add:)

Post menopausal and still have more weight to lose. Its taken me awhile to lose 65lbs but it's my choice to take it off slow and steady. No more yo yo for this gal! Feel free to add if you wish.

I set a reasonable calorie deficit as losing too quickly only leads to loose flabby skin which takes forever to bounce back at later ages. Its taken me over a year to lose 65 lbs but whatever, a loss is a loss :)
-
Nope, I have a glass of wine almost every day and am still losing.
-
Wish I had started over at 50 but waited until 54. Now 56 down 60lbs and feeling so much better. Still another 50 to go. Feel free to add if you wish:)

I bowled for years and was overweight the whole time. Personally speaking, I wouldn't log it.

Can you get a personal trainer for a couple sessions? I hired 1 to put a program together for me and work on proper form and technique. Now I can go in, listen to my music and don't feel uncomfortable at all.

Lost 60 and :( hasn't changed much. Granted my cups no longer runneth over and I have gone down to the tightest hooks, but still waiting for that day when I get a new bra fitting!
-
What advice would you all give to a first timer? I'm thinking of one to honor a love one that has passed on, but placement and fear of pain are holding me back.
-
I'm trying, its the nights(sleeping) and weekends that are hardest. I guess I just have to keep focusing on what was continually wrong instead of what was occasionally right. Thanks for the kind words!

Well I finally got the courage to go out on a date. Discovered that I am not ready yet. The man was very nice but there wasn't enough there to create a spark. I actually got so lonely I practically groveled to get back together with my ex who is truly an A-hole. Argggh, being single sucks but so does dating!
