  • It sounds like you are really struggling mentally with food. As someone who also turns to food to deal with the struggles of with stress/ and other negative emotions, I can relate. My best advice would be to try and find other things in your life to lean on (or build new ones) when you are stressed or emotionally…
  • I wanted something sweet today so I went with a packet of oatmeal and a banana.
  • I am not on insulin, the dr said that I am just barely diabetic (whatever that means) and all of my sugar readings have been in the healthy range since I started testing them 2-3 weeks ago. That’s why I’m not sure if I even need to worry about reducing my carbs down to 3 net servings a day when eating 6-7 net servings has…
  • My calorie limit is 1800, and yes the doctor said 45 grams of net carbs per day. I understand how to calculate net carbs and even after calculating the net carbs I am eating about 6-7 servings, currently. There is no set limit on how much fat I can have but the Dr. advised me that Keto would not be a great idea because I…
  • I mean yes you can post pics, but at the end of the day you know your body and your life best. It has to be your decision to lose weight, maintain etc and online strangers can’t make that decision for. Perhaps what might be more helpful than just pictures is posting your stats (height, weight, etc) if you want others…
  • I focus on just my calories, but I have noticed that I feel fuller/satisfied when I eat more protein so I strive to hit my protein goal everyday, I don’t worry about anything else though
  • I was in a similar situation as you a couple years ago. I'm 5'7 and started at 230 lbs then dropped down to 160, and a lot of people told me I looked to skinny. Even if I had gained 10lbs since the last time they saw, (so like 160 then up to 170) they would tell me that I needed to stop loosing weight or I would be…
  • When I am trying to get back on track after a day of eating a whole bunch of junk food, I try to block off a specific amount of calories per meal. For example I will per log like 300 calories for dinner, so when it comes to dinner time I have those calories set aside so I know when i can eat what. Basicaly i split my…
  • I'll definitely look into this book. Thanks!
  • I would also like to make it clear that I was in no way saying I wanted to cut out all processes foods, I was just wondering if the increas in the amount of processed food compared to foods like fresh fruits and vegetables, was a reason my cravings are worse this time around and why I am more hungry. I suppose I should…
  • I appreciate all of the responses, there are several I would like to quote but that would take a long time. The only reason I used the word gunk is because I wasn't sure how else to phrase it. Also I would like to make it clear that I don't blame processes foods for my weight gain, I was over eating far to much on a daily…
  • I do I think it provides an extra incentive to lose weight. For the days when I'm down on myself and feel like I will never lose weight, knowing that in 10 lbs I get to have a pedicure. Some other things that I like to reward myself with are getting my hair done, going on fun dates with my boyfriend or friends, going to…
  • For something to cure my sweet tooth, I like to have dannon light and fit non fat greek yogurt. They have 80 calories and depending on which ones you get they can have 12 grams of protein, so it helps me feel more satisfied. For salty, I eat a small dill pickle they have around 5 calories. I also like special k cracker…
  • Everyone feel free to add me
  • I'm always looking for more friends on here everyone please add me as well
  • Depends on what you consider low calorie but I personally love dannon non fat Greek yogurts there are lots of flavors and have 80 calories and about 12 grams of protein. I also enjoy hard boiled eggs about 70 calories and a good source or protein, low fat string cheese sticks have about 50 calories depending on the brand…
  • I either eat something high in protein or really low in calories so I can have a lot of it (like celery) or if I don't have the calories to eat something right then, I usually busy myself and do some gross house chores that will ruin my appetite like scrubbing the shower or cleaning the fridge or microwave. I sometimes pre…
  • I've tried it, but I've always gotten really sick about 5 days into it (this has happened 4 times now). I do believe it is just bad timing, but since I haven't been able to stick with it all I've gotten is sore muscles and killer dizziness, so bad I can't walk around and breathing gets difficult just for walking. Please…
  • Thanks so much definitely going to look into the 5x5 workout
  • I think I will be prettier at that weight and have more confidence in my body.

  • My plan was to get to my "goal weight" and then drop my target of weight loss and lose a few more pounds so I can slowly make my way back up to maintence calories
