They continue to follow up with you as you go along, we have access to nurses, dietician, kinesiology and psychologist when needed, of course I’m only 6 months out so I don’t know. my surgeon…

It’s hard when no one else understands your journey, even being with other people who had similar paths it can still feel lonely, it just have been hard being stuck in the hospital, hope the rest of your recovery goes well

Hope the pain stops soon for you!!! And that you finally have relief from your GERD

I think that’s pretty normal! It’s a big change, but with time you will find a new way to cope (exercise, art, writing etc) and one day you will have a new normal :)

Happy thanksgiving! I’m Canadian we had ours a while back, but I will be down there for some shopping Friday :)

I have been terrible at posting goals in my other group too, but I have a set of standard goals, log food, take vitamins, drink water, go to bed early, exercise daily! For the most part I achieve those daily!!! It’s an ongoing battle though to make good choices!
-
Sounds like your having a good week for your goals :)
-
How are things going for you?
-
Way to go :)

I tried to get back into swimming but our public pools where I am don’t have the best free swim/lap swim hours and I couldn’t make it work! I walk usually 5 days a week!! Great job on your goals :)
-
Good job on your goal! I try to go to the gym 5 days a week sometimes it’s hard to find the time but it always feels so good when I get there
-
The more people post the more people join in, I’m usually online every day!!! Where I live it gets dark early and it’s cold and wet this time of year, it makes motivation harder to find!!!

For ever surgeons office and place it’s different, so you may access some of that through your surgeon. I had very specific meal guidelines given by my program and had to get up to 150 min of cardio pre-surgery. But yours could be different ask lots of questions and keep a book with your info handy for post-op!

Congrats hope all goes quick and easy Congrats on your surgery, a month out now!!!

That is great!!! I have lost a new born calf plus an average new born baby over the last 3 years!!! Since surgery a small bale of hay and a rack of baby back ribs!!!

Great post and so true even though we are on similar journeys we will all get the the finish line in our own ways!!! today I went to an appointment with my daughter and they only had one working elevator so we took the stairs, up 8 floors, I made it!!! Thank goodness going down is easier.
