Wow! 45 grams of fiber! It must make you feel super full too. If I ever stumble across it, I'll have to give it a try. My sweet tooth is my handicap.
-
Congratulations! That's so great! I'm attempting my first 1/2 marathon in October. Fingers crossed.

Run a 1/2 marathon, because then I would have shed my 40lbs monkey off my back! Oh and your stuff too :0)

Don't quit. At the very least maintain until your ready to get back at it. This is a lifetime change not just until you get to the weight loss finish line. And if you are so tired make sure you are eating enough protein, or nothing else is going on like allergies, or a slight cold.

I LOVE yoga! I do it at a class with yoga teachers. It's very easy to do any pose wrong. I have only herd wonderful things of P90X, so I'm sure they explain things appropriately. The first time I went I was like "this is lame. I'd rather be running." And then I left and felt so euphoric. The intense stretches are soooo…

So many people are intimidated over running. Congrats for having the courage to go out there. It's the only way the weight loss happens for me. I can spend hours on the elliptical or bike with no significant loss. It's really just my training until I hit the pavement. Next step, 5k for a honorable cause :o) You would be…

For me it has everything to do with my cycle. I'm bloating and cranky, and I want to give up. I usually gain a good 3-4 lbs; and then it's over and I lose 4-5, and I'm rejuvenated.

Someone at work showed me the website. I bought her cookbook the same day. I have made quite a few things and thus far I have yet to find something I don't like. It's all delicious.

We have similar stories. a year and a half ago I broke my leg, and gained 15lbs on top of my 10 lbs gain prior to that, so here I am trying to lose it all. My leg still hurts, but this is my new normal; so I'm just grinning and bearing it. I'm attending my first 5k tomorrow, and I plan to train for a 1/2 marathon by Oct. I…

You'll be able to do it. This site is amazing. I usually don't stick to picking healthy foods for as long as I have, because now I feel accountable for what I eat. It's silly I know, but it's working. Good luck, with lots of hard work and grumbling you'll be at your goal before you know it!

I was looking up the bodybugg just to see what all the hype is about. It says that it can monitor your heart rate, conductivity (sweat), and temp for around $250 for the apparatus and then eventually you have to pay a monthly fee for an undisclosed reason. I never looked up the gowear fit, but I would suggest just getting…

I'm working my butt off too. Eating no more then what MFP tells me I'm supposed to eat, and 1 hour long workouts 6 days a week, and I'm losing 1 lbs a week. It's a slow process, but I'm continuing with my routine. At this rate I'm going to reach my goal in 7 months if I don't hit a platue. Fingers crossed. Skinny doesn't…

If you are doing south beach, then you need to be strict with the sugar. That is the main reason why you achieve weight loss with that one. But if you are doing low cal/low fat, you really don't have to pay toooo close attention to the sugar only if your sugar is from nutrient dense food like cabbage or fruit. I did Atkins…

realage.com is a good place to start the research. It's a personal thing between what your body needs, and what you are able to accomplish realistically to the point where you continue the workouts and not burn out after week 2. They say you need to mix in both cardio and weight training. I prefer cardio, so my workouts…

I have needed to lose weight once before. At that time I was starting at 180 picked 120. I'm 5'5". I picked that b/c it was my high school weight. As I got closer to my goal I couldn't get passed 135. I took my measurements and I was in a size 4, so I just started maintaining there. I've come to find that I'm a very dense…

I don't have much time to cook dinner, so I like buying morning star veggie burgers. I cook them and eat them with hummus and whole wheat english muffin. They are way too good to be vegetarian, and I'm a steak lover.

I don't believe there is a too much. Just make a plan that you can stick with. You don't want to burn out, b/c you won't go back. I workout 60 min/day for 6 days a week. And I do something different everyday. I just started making one of my days swimming. I can only do 30 minutes of freestyle and breast stroke, but my goal…

I use that as motivation to keep going. I'm losing at 1 lbs a week steady. It feels like it's taking FOREVER. I just have to stop bad mouthing my waist, b/c I'm getting sick of my internal coach. She needs to take it easy on me. I'm working here

I'm from the east coast (Baltimore). My friend and I bought skates together went out on a old train trail converted to a recreational trail. We fell so hard. I truely thought I fractured my sacrum. We hung the skates up. I love to ice skate. I really thought I would love rollerblading. So my gawking is not of disgust, but…

I know exactly what you mean. Really??? Eating lard is living??? Hon, you have no idea what living is then :0) I can only imagine what you are going through. I only lost 50 lbs. People kept telling me (while I was still overweight) it's not healthy to lose weight. The BMI is just unreasonable. I'm thinking WHAT? I…

One more point. If you are running on a 1/4 mile track, can also cause pain in one shin. I prefer to run around long trails to prevent this.

Simply b/c I'm afraid you may not want visit your primary care for whatever reason, both anemia and especially low platelets are potentially serious conditions requiring hospitalization if not treated properly. They are also very easily treated in healthy people. There is also many more reasons for bruising that I won't…

I wouldn't worry about being over on sugar. I usually am, b/c I eat lots of fruit. Do you think that this is where your body is supposed to be??? It looks like you lost a lot, and good for you for doing it! About 8 years ago I realized I went from 120 to 180, and decided to lose the weight. I got to 135 and I could not…

The risks of working out after depleting your body of 1/8th of your blood outweights the benefit of working out the same day. Your spleen is going to be working overtime trying to replenish your blood, and you are going to overexhert that process by having your muscles needing an increased supply of oxygen. Now lets talk…

In that case I would go to your doc, and ask them. It's a simple blood test to make sure everything is fine that you would have never of had if you've been healthy your whole life. It is a serious sign, if it's pathological. It's worth checking out to have your doc tell ya "get out of here! You're totally healthy!"

It's a give and take. Some days your going to eat a couple hundred more and some a couple hundred less. Just make sure you're on the see saw to stay away from over eating or under eating. Both are equally bad for life style changes.

I'm not disciplined yet. I'm going to go in for the grilled chicken, and come out with a big mac in my belly....mmmmm... If I think of McDonalds as my enemy, it keeps me out of there and in my own fridge :0)

Bruising has to do with your clotting factors. As far as I know, no workout can increase your clotting time. Alcohol, Asprin, are 2 OTC things off the top of my head that will help you bruise. Are you taking Asprin???

I totally know what you mean. I'm not sure if you have seen, but there is now a 100 cal box of doritos in the grocery store. It has been my savior. They are a little pricey too which helps me only eat one bag instead of the whole box. I have also bought the cookbook "hungry girl". It's soooo good. It's the low cal way of…

You seem to be doing the right thing. You are a tall woman and have longer muscles then the majority of us, so the standard isn't set for you. I pale in comparison to my 5'10" friend I'm doing my exercises with. We don't even discuss numbers, so that I don't get discouraged. Good work, and keep it up. Just keep the balance…
