I'm not sure about a food scale although when I went to buy my HRM at Best Buy, they had a digital one there that looked pretty decent. As far as a HRM, I have a Polar FT4 and I love it. It comes with a chest strap and is very accurate. I had trouble deciding on a brand, but I did a lot of research and heard a lot of good…

It all depends on the day. If it's too hot/humid outside, I prefer the treadmill. One thing I like about running outside though is you get to see how far you've come/how far you have left to go which is kind of motivating as opposed to just watching the distance increase on the treadmill. One thing I like about the…

I used to buy the Luna protein bars all the time which have 180 calories, 12g of protein, but 14g of sugar. Recently I found one I love...still only 180 calories but it has 19g of protein and only 1g of sugar and I think they taste great. The brand is Met RX Protein Plus and they have like 4 different flavors. My favorite…

I'm the same way. Sometimes I wonder if the sugar goal MFP set for me is unreasonable or if I truly just consume too much sugar. I would love to hear any suggestions or advice!

I was just going to post something similar to this. I go over my allotted sugar amount every single day. I do well with everything but sugar. MFP set my personal goal at 28 grams per day. Is that kind of unreasonable or am I just truly consuming too much sugar each day?

Welcome! I was never really into message boards myself (besides facebook) before this website. Now I love it! Also I was never really a "runner" and I still don't consider myself one, but I'm getting there and building up endurance. My advice is just take it slow and don't push yourself. Even if it's only 10 or 15 minutes,…
