I agree with this. I was thin for most of my adult life and got called 'naturally thin' a lot. But I wasn't. I loved food as much then as now. I chose not to overeat. It was sometimes a struggle but I wanted to be thin. Just like now. I do know what I consider to be naturally thin people. Those people who don't think about…

Whoa! So no one should publish anything that is 100% true unless they do so at a kindergarten level because people tend to have poor reading skills? Sorry, I am not on board with that and never will be.
-
Yes. But everyone that is thin is not naturally thin. Many work at it just like people losing weight do, they simply do it proactively.

I don't see anything wrong with the blog. It's posed as a question and clearly states that all data is preliminary and interpretations are just theories. What is wrong with sharing data when it's presented exactly for what it is.

I would take issue with this statement - Unless you feel your stomach actually violently growling, you're not hungry, so don't eat. There is nothing wrong with eating whenever you want whether your stomach is growling or not.

I would think the same could be true of diet changes and especially fitness. I think if either my husband or I decided to start spending time going to a gym it would not be met with much approval from the other.

I love to cook.

There are prescription appetite enhancers that work pretty well. Can you talk to your doctor about it? Depending on where you live and what is legal, marijuana is also known to increase appetite.
-
I didn't even know there was a daily fiber goal. But I echo what what was said above.

Exactly this!

Well, what you described is exactly how I'm doing it. I eat light during the week and a lot on the weekends. I wouldn't say I go crazy on the weekends, but generally I eat about twice as much on Saturday and Sunday as I do on weekdays. I'm 55 and have been maintaining my loss for 2 years this way. Maybe you just need to…

I've eaten pizza with a fork before if it's particularly messy or too thick or I need to keep my hands clean. Anyone that would make fun of someone on a date for anything would be someone I'd not want to date again. I might eat it with a fork just to weed out the a-holes.

Ah, I missed that. I'm curious though, do you think this applies in reverse. Like if someone marries a chubby person should they be upset if later in the marriage that person chooses to lose weight?
-
It's the same reason that chicken cooked at home tastes better if you brine it. Salt enhances the flavor and it retains more moisture.

Yes, exercise has always been stress management for me. Particularly hiking. My husband told me that once when I went out for an unplanned hike my son asked "Who pissed off mom?" ::laugh::

How tall are you? Do you weigh and measure all your food and drinks with calories? It sounds like you are in maintenance and recomping but that is a pretty low amount of calories for maintenance unless you are fairly short.

I doubt this is the expectation in a lot of relationships. I certainly never thought that my husband would still look like he did in his 20's when we married now that we are aging grandparents. And he doesn't. And if he thought I would still look the same at 55 as I did back then, well, that's too bad for him. Kids, aging,…

No need to get nasty. It's simply a difference of opinion. Some relationships are more shallow than others. And I don't mean that as an insult. But if body composition and looks are the attractant, it is what is. Different strokes and all that.

It's not unhealthy. If you want less sugar or calories Kroger has artificially sweetened yogurts.
-
You can get also iron from beans, leafy greens, dried fruits and other vegetable sources.
-
Because eating too few calories is unhealthy. This site does not support very low calorie diets.
-
It says fruits are included. Legumes are vegetables. Nuts and avocado (a fruit) provide fat.
-
You could make a healthy diet of that if you wanted. But it would depend on the amounts of each, the balance, etc.

That does happen to me sometimes. But honestly once I start eating I always want to keep eating. That's why I rarely eat before mid-afternoon whether I'm having a low calorie day or high calorie day. On the rare occasions that I eat breakfast I struggle with hunger all day and often end up overeating.
-
Start with one step. Don't try to change everything in one day. If you like takeaway then have it once it awhile. Just not every meal and keep the portions low. Something else that might be helpful is to spend some time finding out WHY you overeat so much. When your eating gets really out of control instead of beating…

Thanks! I was a Girl Scout and love the organization but don't want the cookies so we always donate but never knew this was an option. I will definitely ask this year.
