I think it will depend on why you don't feel the same now. Weight can be lost and fitness can be improved but whether you can be all you were at 20 or 30 is variable, and the variables are many. But you can be the best you can be right now. I'm 55 and I've honestly never felt much different than I did when I was 20ish. Not…

Watch some cooking shows (foodnetwork.com also has many helpful videos). Buy or borrow (library) some good basic cookbooks, those that have instructions beyond just recipes. If you have a relative or friend that is a good cook, as for pointers. It can be great fun to cook with friends/family.

I certainly wouldn't give up goals that are healthy if they are important to you. But your comment that you used to be very underweight may be of concern to him if he knew you during that time. Perhaps his concern is not 100% about looks. He could be concerned that you are headed down that dangerous path again.

For me it is periodically a struggle. I can maintain my weight for a while with little effort and then something always happens that causes me to gain a bit and I struggle a bit to get things back on track.

Then go at it with the attitude that you will use this tool as method to learn not to need it. Like a baby with a walker, you use the tool until you learn to do it on your own. Then you move forward without it. You may stumble a few times but each can be a learning experience. You can get there if you want it.

When my kids were toddlers they ate what they liked, what they would eat at that stage. Always healthy foods but not necessarily the foods the rest of the family ate. As they got older they didn't want the "baby food" and were happy to be included in the family meals. I never fixed separate meals for anyone in the family,…

The one way to be sure the changes you seek never happen is giving up.

With so little information it's hard to tell what it is since you've recently made dietary changes. It could be many things. I would suggest discussing this with your doctor or trying OTC melatonin.
-
Yeah, I've seen that published in several sources. But maybe I just pay more attention since I'm an older woman with a family history of breast cancer.
-
I assumed the OP was talking about a home gym, but perhaps that was not the case.
-
How much sleep are you getting now compared to before you changed your diet?
-
You don't see a difference in someone quitting their job to sit on the couch watching internet TV all day and someone gaining weight? Wow, I sure do.
-
I agree with the above. Can you give a better description of how/what you are eating. Or if you are following a website, could you post a link. Why can't you sleep? Are you simply not sleepy, or having reflux or other symptoms that keep you awake?
-
Asking someone to financially support you vs. not caring if someone packs on a few lbs. That's a pretty big difference.

One of my daughters has suffered from mild-moderate constipation throughout her life. Since she started drinking kombucha daily she has become very regular. It taste pretty good.
-
A pool would be my first choice. I'd also like to have a rowing machine and a stair stepper.
-
Most likely, but the OP never said weight was not temporary.
-
I like that they are finally looking at meats vs processed meats separately. Otherwise I don't see a problem with the article.
-
It is possible for someone to gain weight while eating at a caloric deficit.
-
The weight she gained was not fat?

This was my thought as well. Vanity sizing usually applies to sizes (6/8/4) not to inch measurements. That's weird, although in the picture the waists of the jeans don't look much different.

From an aesthetic perspective I like him best when he's a little overweight. But I do wish he took more of an interest in his health so if his weight starts creeping too high I say something.
-
No, I'm not posing any 2 options. I think there are many, many options. But, the OP asked about intuitive eating.
-
I looked up the definition for habit "a settled or regular tendency or practice, especially one that is hard to give up." I don't see that ever applying to eating for me.
-
I wasn't discussing what you do. I actually don't label my eating as anything other than eating, but given the definition of the word intuitive (again, going by the dictionary only) it does seem to fit. Much more so than habit, especially since my daily and weekly calories are all over the place, as are my macros and often…

I think there is a lot of truth in this. It's the monotony of it. The day to day chore of it. The knowing it's going to take a long time to get there and even longer to stay there.
-
That's a tough call. I've never tasted a nut I didn't like and I love many of them. But I think I'd go with pecan as my favorite. They are all healthy. I don't think one is inherently healthier than that another.

That's why I come to this forum. It helps me annoy people I care about IRL less. :p

I think you can only do it if you pay for the premium version. I don't pay for it but I saw that on another post.
