It has a nasty aftertaste, natural or not.

I need to join this club. First time with MFP 3 years ago. Fat as ever. :\

I think this makes a lot of sense. A lighter and somewhat "less tasty" version of a fattening desert makes one less likely to want more of it. Thanks for the recipe. (*)

All I can think of to say that might make you feel better is that you are so insanely close to your desired weight goal. A lot of folks here, including me, are trying to lose 100+ pounds. Not that your situation is any less difficult but we all go through self-hate and that really accomplishes nothing. Hope you can find a…

Fried ice cream comes close. But it helps with detox!! :D

There are only two ways, as we all well know. Most formulas say a 500 cal daily deficit results in a one pound weekly loss, btw, not two. (maybe I'm wrong) So you would have to increase your exercise. But since you only have 25 or so pounds to lose, according to your ticker, a 2-pound weekly loss is impractical and will be…

I remember watching the 5:2 "documentary" a while back. The day after his fasting day, he hits the drive thru joint and it shows him pigging out on burgers. This all implies you can eat whatever you want on your non-fasting days, which is a crock. 5:2 is no magic. Like all IF versions, you must carefully watch what you eat…

The funny thing is - almost everything on that day's menu is actually good for you. It's the way it's prepared that's the killer. Yams with lots of brown sugar and marshmallows. Turkey with the skin left on and lots of gravy. Not just green beans - but green bean casserole with the FF onions. Can't wait... >:)

I did a detox cleanse with Lysol disinfectant. It was ok, but the stuff tasted awful.

At Weight Watcher meetings, where fresh fruit has zero points, we were instructed to not even track it. One person said, "Well, what about pears or watermelon?" The Weight Watchers leader responded, "Honey, none of us are here from overeating pears or watermelon".

What I did might sound crazy, but I put a bicycle chain around my refrigerator and locked it, and put the key out in the car trunk. It was enough to keep me from putting on clothes and going outside in the middle of the night to retrieve the key. It worked. Night eating is simply a habit, and can be broken like any bad…

OP, psyllium in itself, is actually not particularly high in fiber. But it has a "jelling" effect in the digestive tract, and helps soften everything up. Soluble fibers work best to achieve this effect. Also, are you looking at things in your diet that may be constipating you? Too much dairy can cause this.

Yeah I would guess I have some allergies, although I have never been tested. My asthma used to be more severe at certain times of the year but nowadays it is bad all the time. And the inhalers I use are becoming less and less effective.
-
nooooo. having psyllium in this way will plug you up worse than a bale of hay. Because the psyllium need lots of liquid to expand and the protein shake already has stuff in it that will absorb the water away from the psyllium. I really would try a juice/psyllium combination, later in the day, and not mix it into a protein…

uh-uh. You can drink water till you pop and it will not help with constipation. OP you need to change your diet and add a stool softener to your diet, such as psyllium. (Metamucil) Soluble fiber is best as it adds bulk to your digestive tract which wheat fiber will not do. Some food choices include oat bran (not wheat)…

My surgeon left a sponge in after my gallbladder removal. I gained 10 pounds of water weight.

Rub some in your scalp and grow chia hair!!

Thanks very much for the answers. I love store bought vegetable juices and I have never gotten sick from them. Maybe it's the raw factor. Something that normally would be neutralized in the cooking process is what makes me queasy? I like the nutrition aspect of drinking fresh-made juices and maybe will try watering it down…

WHY are people still giving the OP advice on this ancient thread? She hasn't even logged on in half a year. :o

^^very interesting. Thank you. The condition does get thrown around a lot, and I was curious as to how common it really is.
