  • Caffeine pills, food scale, body weight scale, diet beverages, gum, music, good ear buds, MFP, the internet, treadmills... That's all I can think of at the moment.
  • Usually about 2-3 hours of cardio. I'm aiming to burn 1000 calories every other day. Right now I'm at 146 minutes. 10 more minutes should get me to today's goal. Less if I really push it. I only do inclined walking. Sometimes, I use the elliptical.
  • I've lost approximately 97 lbs, so that's over 300,000 calories burned through lots and lots of cardio. I have about 82 lbs to go until I reach my ultimate goal weight. I can then brag about losing a person.
  • Haven't lost any this week, instead I gained. I started losing weight in 8/2014, took two months off so lost approximately 97 lbs in about 7 months, so that's an average of 3 lbs a week... I really must get back on track. Height is 5' 5.5". Current weight is 212ish lbs.
  • With such a small surplus, you have nothing to worry about. Just continue logging and prepare for a new day. I don't know if you're a binger because it is fairly easy to eat 4000 calories of fatty goodness without stuffing yourself. If you are then figure out what you need to do so this won't happen again... Should I say…
  • Nothing superficial really. I know losing weight won't give me the look or the body I want because its not in my genetics. I started seriously trying to lose weight when I realized I weighed over 300 lbs. I had been having tingling sensations in my limbs years before I decided to lose weight so I can't really say my weight…
  • I've been craving tuna salad-salads and bacon wraps, today.
  • chicken with rice.
  • Even though I agree with the you can't outrun a bad diet stance, my weight loss is completely due to exercise. I still eat 3000+ calories a day... Once I get my diet under control, this weight loss thing should be a breeze, right.
  • Of course one bad day won't hurt you, but it rarely stops at one bad day for the average binger. I overate by 15000 calories over 3-4 days of maintenance calories. I think working second shift makes me want more food. Any who.... This isn't the first time. I'll get back on track. I think Intermittent fasting works best for…
  • I've lost 90ish lbs thanks to treadmills. I would just keep the incline high and walk for 1- 2 hours. Now, I don't like walking/jogging on the treadmill because it feels weird. I've gotten used to a longer walking stride from walking outside that feels weird on the treadmill, but still nothing beats the calories I burn…
  • Find some things that you like about this journey... There's always at least one thing.
  • Well, when I do cardio in the gym, I input less than half of whatever the machine gives me. I'm not in such great shape, so at 210 lbs I burn about 400 (half of what the machine says) calories on the elliptical and up to 300 calories on the treadmill, from a 60 minute workout.
  • I don't know if you've tried already but Google maps and MapMyRun websites are not useful for paths that don't show up on maps. For example, parks in my area just show up as green blocks on Google maps and MapMyWalk. If where you're walking isnt an actual road then it may not show up.
  • grilled chicken breast and a banana. I swear both hit the spot.
  • First, accept your derrière and hips as they are. Then second, understand that you can't determine where you lose weight (fat/muscle). Third, after you've lost weight, started strength training and still don't like what you see, please refer back to my first line. I would love to have big hips and butt rather than a wide…
  • I'm from The Tar Heel State... also known as North Carolina.
  • Both. I can stick to the same foods for a good week or two before I have to switch it up, but I do have some staples like grilled chicken breasts, eggs, salads, Atkins bars [yummy]. Bananas too but I'm too impatient when it comes to waiting for them to get ripe. I generally just like to throw things together like a salad…
  • She was just doing what most females do. Don't think too much on it. Many people make inconsiderate statements like this outloud. It used to bother me in the past when I was your age, but now, it doesn't. Don't let anything about anyone else affect your self worth/emotions. Just like how some posters were going back and…
  • I feel guilt and shame for nothing I eat.... But, maybe if I did adopt such an attitude, this weight loss thing would be easier. I'm much too lenient with myself when it comes to my diet. But Rome wasn't built in a day... and this Rome is starting from a Moon standpoint---craters, lack of resources and all.
  • This was one of my goals as well. I have some embarrassing memories from that experience... not being able to fit after waiting in line for such a long time. I'm so glad I can actually fit in them now because I love roller coasters. Happy losing!
  • I also want to be able to wear a single digit size in most brands. Plus, I want to be able to run, actually run.
  • Find something else to replace the emotional eating with like exercise. I get out the house and hit the park or the gym when I know I'm about to binge. This saves me from bingeing 50% of the time which is very successful in my book! Also, maybe try reading/studying. I sometimes break open my old dusty calculus or…
  • A Nice! brownie at 2 a.m.
  • Lolz. Yes. Something similar to this goes through my head daily. I think the answer is something called "self-control" or "integrity".... whatever that is!!!!!
  • I'm feeling lazy which is better than yesterday's feeling of tired. I want to go to the park for some cardio, but it's so far, far away.
  • Is it wrong that I'm a lifetime fatty who enjoys this kind of talk.... We should all do what we can to make the world a brighter place. I actually don't like to comment on others' weight loss because I don't actually want to have a long[er] conversation with them. Is that wrong? Or is that like ignoring the elephant in the…
  • Sometimes, I think its best to not even know how many calories I burn from exercise because I truly never feel hungry, but I'm more likely to think/feel like I am because I know I just burned X amount of calories doing something I half-way dislike. Drinking a liter of water usually kills that feeling I have that makes me…
  • Yes. I know we have plenty of hybrids.
