With cutting-edge jokes like that, I imagine Comedy Central is beating down your door to get you a stand up special!

It's hard to accurately measure, and for the most part, adults' stomachs are the size they're intended to be, regardless of how much or little you eat. Some studies have shown an increase and reduction in stomach capacity depending on intake, but not so much that the stomach has shrunk drastically. What dieting does is…

In order to care for all members and make sure they have their daily "clean eating v. dirty eating" debate (many people are sustained wholly on those threads alone) be sure to post a thread about it at least once a day.

That list seems a lot less scary than all the scary chemical words in the banana picture. I'm changing my answer to yogurt!11!one!
-
It would leave you fuller not because of a lack of sugar (bananas have sugar and the molecular composition is negligibly different than things made with white table sugar, like yogurt could be) but because of how the sugar would be processed; fruit sugar doesn't trigger insulin spikes the way a yogurt might, and those…

I realize you probably intended "artificial" to modify "chemicals" (I hope), but regardless...

A banana only if the banana is still bright yellow and firm. I hate eating mushy bananas. I don't like any yogurt except Greek.

Nice! Also, protip, if it hasn't been mentioned yet: you can totally make omelets in a waffle iron.

I just realized this might sound like I'm saying "And Oreos are bad for you so don't even eat apples!!11!one!" which is not what I'm saying. All I'm doing is telling you about the science, since you asked for facts. In terms of opinions, I love fruit and wouldn't give it up. I also love Oreos--especially the mint ones--and…

The sugar in fruit is processed through your liver, which protects you from insulin spikes if that's something you're concerned with, while your standard white sugar and products made thereof are processed through your stomach and require the release of insulin into the bloodstream. That's really the major difference; in…

True. I've never gone a day on MFP without wanting to bang my head against the wall.

I would definitely recommend doing your best to find a qualified doctor or collection of doctors to help you with this--your GP, a nutritionist, a therapist, etc. as someone who can support you with both the physical effort and the mental challenges that might occur. My biggest concern would be that your dieting would…

This may not work at your campus, but at mine, there was street parking about a mile away, so as long as I wasn't running late (sometimes a challenge also working 30+ hours a week), I got a good two mile walk four days a week. Then there was the whole not having time to eat thing...but I wouldn't recommend that!
