I lost 50 training for my half this year but recently fell off the wagon and gained back 12. That extra 12 had added almost 1 minute a mile to my times! That's what got me back on the wagon... Never gonna PR like this ;)

I'm with Cheshire: add a medium length run mid week... I'm thinking six miles. I'm no expert, but your total weekly mileage w/o the LR might be a little light... Your LR is over 50% of your base.I am currently training/maintaining for a half in July and my week looks like this: m: rest t: 4 miles w: 6 miles Th: 4 miles F:…

This article is misleading. It does not give the cause of weight regain. Now, if scientists discovered that a previously obese person somehow managed to put weight back on eating at a calorie deficit thus defying chemistry, that would be news. No, folks, the reality is that the vast majority of people regain weight because…

I have been at this for almost 8 months....long enough to know a day or two doesn't make a pattern. I have also seen people fall off the wagon just to get back on again. I hope you feel better soon. Don't worry...if you want it you will do it. :)

Oh.... And regular cardio (for me it is 30 to 60 minutes of running daily) is a must!

I have PCOS.... Lost 41 pounds in seven months just counting calories and cutting out most sugar. Still east plenty of health carbs.... And some unhealthy ones too if my calories goal allows. If you are insulin resistant, you'd be amazed how much of a difference you can create just by adding more protein, fruits and…

This is excellent! Thank you! I looked at several online training programs that are very similar. I think that changing up the way I am running will rally help, add a longer run out two proceeded by easier days.

Hmm... That's actually an interesting thought. I have been running about six months. I started just as a means to burn calories to increase weight loss but as I neared my weight goal, I found that I just enjoy running! I am doing over 20 miles/ wk.... Perhaps I will try taking a day or two off each week but make the…

Oh! and I forgot to mention the best NSV of this experience....I have become a runner and I am loving it! Never thought that would happen. Sometimes when we change we find things we never knew we wanted.
