  • Great, now I have to try the grilled cheese thing lol! I wish I had never discovered that they make Cadbury eggs for every holiday now...oh man those things are good.
  • I disagree with the people saying you can make yourself like things. That's just not true. OP, the only veggie I can eat is cooked carrots when hidden in a stew. I honestly ate broccoli every day for a month, and I can tell you I hate it even more now than before I tried doing that. No amount of salt or anything can take…
  • That would be great, I would love to hear your results! I will let you know mine as well if I decide to go forward with it!
  • A short summary is, reverse dieting is where you add 50-100 calories per day each week to your diet until you start gaining. Then you subtract 15% of your calories again to kind of "restart" weight loss. I am very accurate with my calorie counting, but have been doing 1,200 calories so it may have been too low.
  • If you're watching sodium, then stay away from them. Personally, I can consume a ton of salt and my blood pressure is still really low. I used to eat Lean Cuisines every day for my supper, and I loved it since it takes the craving for some of my favorite foods away (pizza, pasta, steak & potatoes...yes please)! I never…
  • OP, if that's the only reason you are motivated you probably need to change up your routine. Find something you really like. I used to be a runner but the dread factor became too much for me to overcome, so I turned to workout DVDs. I now do 20 minute HIIT and 30 minute step routines through the week and I LOVE them. I…
  • Lol I read this earlier on the Daily Mail...and I have to tell you the first thing I thought of was MFP...but I have to agree with the article because after both of my pregnancies I lost weight this way and maintained it for years.
  • I stopped weighing myself a few months ago. Clothes/how you look in the mirror is a much better and more motivating indicator. Getting rid of the scale has made me not so obsessive, a number doesn't matter to me anymore and I like it!
  • Taco Bell-anything off of the Fresco menu! Burger King, Wendy's, McDonald's, Sonic-PLAIN grilled chicken...at Wendy's I get a plain baked potato as a side, McDonald's I get the apples. Burger King and Sonic don't have many healthy sides that I know of. Subway-Plain Steak and Cheese with wheat bread
  • Heck yes! Certain songs are more intense than others, I just pick ones that I know are high energy and play it for at least an hour (it's easy to keep going)! I'll warm up with a slower song. The newer versions have a Just Sweat mode that are intended to be a workout too. Just Dance 2015 comes out this month and I can't…
  • I did low carb for a few months, and strictly at that...staying under 20g of carbs the whole time...no cheating. It DOES take away your appetite and I was amazed by that. I didn't lose any more weight than I did with a low calorie diet though, so that's why I quit doing it. However, I still try to watch my carbs and fill…
  • I can tell you what I like most about them is the nutritional stats, as well as how much bar you get for the calories. Being satisfying and filling is the number one thing I look for in a bar and these do that the best. I don't think most of them taste entirely like what they're supposed to be imitating, but I still find…
  • I'm in as well! I need to lose about 16-17 pounds...but close enough! H: 5'7" SW: 165 CW: 140 GW: 123 I am starting a new diet today with IdealShakes as well, I'm so excited to be in this with you all! Won't it feel so good to be at our goals January 1st while everyone else is making a mad dash to the gym? ;)
  • I've only done one of Jillian's workouts, and I hated it. I didn't like her attitude at all. If you like these type of workouts, I'd suggest The Firm Express Get Thin in 30. It's a 30 day workout plan with 12 different workouts included and a bonus 10 minute workout. It is led by 4 different instructors (different one each…
  • Every single vegetable except for corn and potatoes. If you count those, lol.
  • I started out doing beginner cardio workouts at home (such as Denise Austin) and at the time I thought it was pretty tough! Fast forward to 4 months later, and I won't even do those workouts anymore because they are way too easy!!! =)
  • OP I did the exact same thing, and had the same results...a huge stall. I added back in some carbs and I continue to do HIIT style workouts 3 times a week (although I would say that the ones I'm doing aren't extremely intense, they only do 16 sets of 8 second bursts with 12 minutes of recovery, mixed in with steady state…
  • I do have an office job after 15 years of having an extremely physical one. I have to say, it's not that much harder to lose weight now than it was then. The only part that is harder is resisting office snacks/foods that people bring in. Being at a physical job, I was too busy/dirty to eat much! I workout when I get home…
  • I work out after my work day, so I know how you feel! My best bet is to have everything prepared before I get home (workout clothes laid out, DVD in the player ready to go). I just hop right into it before I can make excuses. Also, recently I started doing The Firm Express workouts and they are only 20 minutes long but…
  • 130 calorie turkey burger with an 80 calorie bun, and a low calorie Greek yogurt (such as Dannon Light and Fit). This is what I have for supper most nights! I get the 99% fat free turkey burger and cook them all ahead of time (make sure to weigh them to get the right calorie amount)!
  • Oh man, I'll have to try those out! I LOVE ginger!
  • Lately I've just been having my evening snack as my dessert. That way, I'm not even hungry by bedtime. I usually have an Atkins or Quest bar, especially since I eat supper right after my workout. Very filling and hits that sweet spot!
  • I agree with the above poster, you may have low blood pressure. I have always had extremely low blood pressure (so much so at a doctor's visit the nurse once asked me if I was dead). I LOVE and always crave salt. I just buy Morton's light salt (it is mixed with potassium) and use as much as I want, I've never had a…
  • Wow, that is a very limited menu. I honestly don't know what to tell ya on this one other than don't go or choke down the salad lol. Sorry. :/
  • All I use is workout dvds as well, the only thing else you'll usually need with them are hand weights (I have 3,5,8, and 10 pound). Right now I am loving The Firm Express, 12 20 minute HIIT style workouts that you do Monday, Wednesday, Friday. I also do step dvds on Tuesday and Thursday. The Firm workouts are GREAT, they…
  • They're GOOD. They taste pretty close to pumpkin pie in my opinion. I had to give most of the package away so I wouldn't eat them all!
  • I do ALL of my workouts at home! I do some on YouTube as well, and I have a lot of step dvds. My current favorite is my Firm Express set though, they are only 20 minutes long, and are a HIIT-like workout. You get 12 dvds in a set and you do them 3 times a week so you only do each one ONCE a month so it keeps it…
  • Ha! True, some small changes can be frustrating as well! My wedding rings slide all over the place now, and I have to tie my shoes tighter...but no obvious changes in my thighs! Grrr!
